On Wednesday, September 05, 2018 at 8:54 a.m., the Lacey Township Police Department received multiple phone and 911 calls reporting a large volume of smoke coming from the roof of Caffrey’s Tavern, located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River. Upon arrival, officers observed heavy smoke emanating from the kitchen area of the restaurant along with large volumes of flames coming from the roof.       Underage Consumption/Warrant Arrest- On Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 8:48 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the intersection of Lacey Road and Route 9, Forked River, for a male subject lying on the ground. Lacey 5k- August 25th, 2018-Traffic Alert/Anticipated Road Closures/Recycling Yard Delayed Opening

The annual Lacey 5k race is scheduled for Saturday August 25, 2018 at 8:30 am. The race will begin in Gille Park.  To facilitate the race, portions of Veteran’s Way, Municipal Lane, Calvin Street, and Newark Avenue (north of Lacey Road) will be closed from 8:30 am to 9:00 am.  Special Police Officers will be on scene assisting with traffic. Additionally, the Lacey Township DPW recycling yard will be opening at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 25, 2018.  [...]

      Criminal Mischief Auto – On Monday, August 6, 2018, at 1:07 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 700 block of Spruce Road in Lanoka Harbor for a criminal mischief complaint.
