      DWI – On Thursday, July 4, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., officers responded to the Taylor Lane Wawa for a report of a possible dispute.  Further investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 65-year-old Kenneth Vanness for DWI.  He was transported to headquarters where he received motor vehicle summonses for DWI, Reckless Driving, and Expired Registration.       DWI – At 7:39 pm, Friday, June 21, 2019, Officer Barcalow responded to the Walmart parking lot for a report of a male operating a vehicle erratically. Upon locating the vehicle she found it running with the door wide open and unoccupied. The driver, Nathan Kuncevich, 29, was located inside Walmart and appeared to be under the influence.       Warrant Arrest- At 7:45 pm, Friday, June 7, 2019, Officers Scott Keefe and Anthony Sarno responded to a Nantucket Road, Forked River home in reference to a dispute.  Officers located James Wareham on the porch of the home and it was determined that he was wanted for several outstanding warrants.  Wareham, 34, was placed under arrest for the warrants, both originating from Trenton, and transported to headquarters.       Warrant Arrest- At 1:34 am, Friday, May 24, 2019, Officer Sarno conducted the check of a suspicious vehicle in a commercial parking lot.  The vehicle was occupied by John Mrvica, 44, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.  Mrvica was placed under arrest after two outstanding warrants were discovered.       Drug Arrest- On Friday, May 17, 2019, Officers Holt and Schaffer responded Wawa, Lanoka Harbor, for a suspicious person.  Upon their arrival, officers discovered 35 year-old Robert Sammis of Ocean Gate sleeping in his vehicle.  Officers also observed an amount of heroin between the legs of Sammis.  Sammis was charged with Possession of Heroin and released in accordance with bail reform.       Shoplifting Arrest – On Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 7:14 p.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Robert Duffy responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Tara N. Bowker of South Street, Lanoka Harbor, for shoplifting. Tara attempted to conceal $49.24 in merchandise, but was apprehended by store personnel. Tara was processed and released on a complaint summons for Shoplifting. [...]

      Fires – On April 26, 2019, Officer Julie Barcalow and Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the report of an appliance fire at an East Lacey Road, Forked River residence.   The homeowner was able to extinguish the fire that emerged from the back of the range.
