• Shoplifting Arrest – On Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 7:14 p.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Robert Duffy responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Tara N. Bowker of South Street, Lanoka Harbor, for shoplifting. Tara attempted to conceal $49.24 in merchandise, but was apprehended by store personnel. Tara was processed and released on a complaint summons for Shoplifting.
  • Theft — On Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 12:37 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Lacey Used Auto, 602 Route 9 North for a report of a theft. The owner stated that an unknown person(s) removed numerous catalytic converters from vehicles in the yard. The theft remains under investigation.
  • Warrant Arrest — On Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 11:22 a.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Lacey Used Auto, 602 Route 9 North to assist the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in a civil dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 57-year-old, Michael J. Boccia of Route 9 North, Lanoka Harbor, for an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court Warrant in the amount of $600. M. Boccia was processed and released on his own recognizance pending his future court date.
  • DWI Arrest — On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 11:59 a.m., Officers Randolph Plis and John Simonson responded to the TD Bank, 106 Route 9 North for a report of a female driving under the influence. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 33-year-old Christina M. Pagano of Caldwell Avenue, Forked River, for DWI. C. Pagano was processed and released on summonses for Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated.
  • Theft – On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 3:17 p.m., Officer Darrell Nick met with the complainant who advised that multiple items he ordered were stolen from his front porch. The items were described as multiple pairs of Nike sneakers totaling $813. The theft remains under investigation.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at 10:35 a.m., Officer Randolph Plis conducted a motor vehicle stop near Laurel Boulevard for maintenance of lamps. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 40-year-old Laura C. DiPaola of Elwood Street, Forked River. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
  • Criminal Mischief – On Monday, May 13, 2019, at 4:32 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno responded to the area of Lee Way in Forked River for a report of criminal mischief to a mailbox. The complainant advised that sometime between 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday, his mailbox was pushed on the ground. The damage is estimated at $30.
  • Burglary (Vehicle) – On Monday, May 13, 2019, at 10:20 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to Brentwood Place for a motor vehicle burglary. The victim stated that sometime between Friday, May 10, 2019 and Saturday, May 11, 2019, someone entered his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. Cash in the amount of $4,900 was stolen out of a bank envelope that was in the center console.
  • Hit and Run – On Monday, May 13, 2019, 10:04 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to Town Square Plaza at 1 Lacey Road. A caller reported that he witnessed a vehicle strike the curb and the stop sign at the exit of the plaza knocking the sign to the ground and then flee the scene. Officer Watkins recovered a license plate located at the scene that came back to Julie Patterson of Forked River. Patterson was issued summonses for Careless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident.
  • CDS Arrest – On Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 12:23 a.m., Officer Jason Lee stopped a vehicle for expired registration. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 18-year-old Jared Ives. Ives was charged with Possession of Marijuana and also received summonses for unregistered vehicle and CDS in a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in accordance with bail reform.
  • DWI Arrest – On Friday, May 10, 2019, at 7:03 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to Seabright Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a fence. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 35-year-old Paul E. Shook 3rd of Highland Drive, Barnegat, NJ for DWI. P. Shook was processed and released on summonses for Failure to Maintain a Lane, Suspended Driving, Reckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated.
  • Fraud – On Friday, May 10, 2019, at 2:19 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to headquarters for a report of fraud. The complainant, a 73-year-old Lanoka Harbor resident, reported that she was contacted by someone from the Social Security Administration advising her that her social security number was used to rent homes in high crime areas. She was advised to pay $3500 in Google Play gift cards for restoration fees. The resident was advised of the likelihood of it being a scam and not to complete the transaction.
  • DWI – On Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 4:34 p.m., Officers Jason Lee and Noah Schaffer responded to the Chase Bank, located at 744 Lacey Road for a report of a female operating a red SUV blocking the entrance to the bank. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 56-year-old Joanne Pandolpho of Charles Boulevard, Manahawkin, NJ for DWI. Pandolpho was processed and released on summonses for DWI and Reckless Driving.
