On Saturday, October 1st, 2016, at 12:47 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to Huffy Wallis Park, located at 1740 Parkside Drive in Forked River, for a suspicious vehicle. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, a 17-year-old female juvenile from Lanoka Harbor, NJ, for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Department News – Heroin Arrest – September 29, 2016

  On the evening of Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Lacey Township Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 1006 Tampa Road in Forked River. The search warrant was sought during an ongoing drug investigation specifically targeting the distribution of heroin from the home. During the search, detectives located 494 bags containing heroin.
