Theft - On Friday, March 1, 2013, a resident of Conifer Drive in Forked River reported that between February 22, 2013 and March 1, 2013, someone stole his 130 pound, four-foot, iron anchor, valued at $300.00, from the front-yard of his residence.

Telephone Fraud - A resident of Tappan Street, Forked River, reported receiving a phone call from a male subject who identified himself as an employee of Chase Bank. The caller told him he had was fraudulent activity on his credit card. The caller was asking him for personal account information related to his Chase Bank Credit Card. Criminal Mischief - The owner of a plumbing company reported that during the overnight hours into Monday, February 25, 2013, one of his work vehicles was vandalized while it was parked in the Sea Breeze development. The following glass was smashed in the vehicle: windshield, passenger side window, and passenger side mirror. Spray paint was also noted on the passenger side of the van. Suspicious Incident -  A resident reported that around 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, she heard what sounded like someone trying to open the front door of her Williams Avenue residence. When she got up and looked outside the front window she observed a subject wearing a dark colored hoodie running from the house. No other description provided.

Suspicious Incident - The complainant reported that around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, he heard someone jiggle the handle to the backdoor of his residence, and upon turning on the lights, he heard a female voice say “I thought you said she was not home.” The subject(s) left the area. No other description provided.

Criminal Mischief – Between the hours of midnight and 0600 hours on Monday, February 25, 2013, unknown subject(s) damaged a 2008 Ford Expedition while it was parked in the driveway of an Enterprise Drive residence.  The rear passenger side of the vehicle had a four inch scratch in the fender. The value of the damage is estimated at $500.00.

Fraud (Senior Alert) - On Friday, February 22, 2013, an elderly resident of the Forked River Beach area reported that she received a telephone call that she believed was a scam. The caller identified himself as “Johnny Black” and told her she had won $300,000.  The fraudulent caller advised her of a procedure to collect the winnings that first required her to send him $350.00.
