Community Event (Fireworks) – Wednesday, July 3, 2013 – Lacey Township High School

The Lacey Township fireworks display is scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, July 3rd, at dusk on the grounds of the Lacey Township High School. Entertainment will begin on site at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin thereafter at dusk (approx. 9 pm). The Lacey Township Police Department, fire departments, and first aid squads will be working to maintain a safe event and to facilitate traffic before, during, and after the event.

Neighborhood Crime Alert – Monday, July 1, 2013 – Beach Boulevard, Forked River

Theft - On Monday, July 1, 2013, a homeowner from the 1500 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River reported that an unknown person or persons stole his central air conditioning condenser unit from outside his home sometime between Friday, June 28, 2013 and Monday, July 1, 2013. The repair and replacement cost is estimated at $1,500.

Neighborhood Crime Alert – Sunday, June 30, 2013 – Hemlock Lane, Forked River

Theft from Residence - On Saturday, June 29, 2013, a resident on the 200 block of Hemlock Lane in Forked River reported that someone entered the basement of his home and stole a Ryobi table saw and a Dewalt Skilz saw from a storage room in the basement. Fraudulent Phone Call - A resident of the Pheasant Run section of Lacey Township reported receiving a telephone call from a person with a heavy Middle Eastern accent. The caller stated that he worked for Microsoft and needed to access the resident's computer to make repairs. Neighborhood Crime Alert – Sunday, June 23, 2013 – Taylor Lane, Forked River

Trespassing & Attempted Theft - A resident of Taylor Lane in Forked River reported that on Friday night, June 21, 2013, at approximately 10:30 p.m., he returned home to find the motion light in his backyard on. As he checked his backyard, he observed 2 males attempting to steal an 18’ fiberglass canoe located in the fenced portion of his yard. The actors left the canoe and fled the scene.
