Traffic Alert - UPDATE - Roadway has been reopened. Due to a serious motor vehicle accident on Dover Road in the Bamber Lake Section of Lacey Township, the section of Dover Road from Lacey Road to Pinewald-Keswick Road in Berkeley Township was temporarily closed for emergency operations. The initial announcement was effective at 11:13 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015. The roadway is now open to through traffic.

UPDATE - West Lacey Road Chemical Spill - At 2:20 a.m., West Lacey Road was reopened for traffic after being closed due to a chemical spill on West Lacey Road near Aspen Road. The spill was discovered at 10:41 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014, leading to a 5 mile stretch of roadway being closed for nearly 4 hours (10:45 p.m. to 2:20 a.m.). UPDATE: As of 11:00 a.m. the temperatures have warmed to alleviate the ice concerns. Original Message (8 a.m.) - Traffic/Weather Alert - The current roadway conditions are extremely dangerous and quickly becoming worse. The roadways are impossible to drive safely upon at this time. All roadways are ice covered. The public is asked to not drive at this time until the temperature warms to well above freezing. -Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

UPDATE: Lacey Township experienced a power outage throughout the township this morning (Sunday, November 24, 2013). All of the traffic lights throughout the township were out, and as a result, residents were temporarily asked stay off the roadways for safety reasons. The power was quickly restored to most of the township by 8:28 a.m. with only the traffic light at Haines Street and Manchester Avenue in Lanoka Harbor still being out.
