Due to a motor vehicle crash at Route 9 and Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor (Lacey Township) involving a telephone pole, that area of Route 9 will be closed for several hours. There will be detours at two locations (Route 9 and South Street) along with Route 9 and Haines Street in Lacey Township. Please avoid the area if possible and drive safely. The Lacey Township Police Department is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle accident on Western Blvd., which will be closed from Manchester Ave. to Veteran's Blvd in Berkeley Township. The Lacey Township Police Department is asking all motorists to use an alternate route until the investigation is concluded.
Motorists should use caution in the area of Deerhead Lake Drive and Lacey Rd due to a malfunctioning traffic signal.
Lacey Township is experiencing heavy traffic volume in the Route 9/Game Farm Road area due to a large funeral and expected procession. Please be aware of heavy delays in that area until approximately 3:00pm. Avoid the area if possible.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service, in conjunction with the Ocean County Parks Department will be conducting a prescribed burn operation on Ocean County property within Lacey Township tomorrow, March 14th, 2020. A section of Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor will be temporarily closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. New Jersey Natural Gas will be working in the area between Route 9 and Maple Road. Both east and westbound traffic on Bay Way will need to follow the detour to Laurel Boulevard, which will be the main access to the neighborhood.
