Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Emergency Alert – Area of Beach Bl between Waikiki Dr and Molokai Dr
Beach Blvd will be closed to traffic in both directions between Waikiki Dr and Molokai Dr until further notice, due to ongoing police operations. Residents in the area are asked to shelter in place in their homes until advised otherwise.

Please be advised Lacey Road is closed in both directions between Eagleswood Place and Deerhead Lake Drive due to wires down across the road. Until further notice please avoid the area. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 20th through September 26th, 2019
Shoplifting- On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., Officer John McKee responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter. Investigation there led to the arrest of Brianna Birdsall, 25, of Manahawkin. Brianna was charged with Shoplifting for attempting to exit the store will merchandise valued at $85. She was released on her own recognizance pending a Court appearance. Shoplifting- On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 7:20 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to Walmart after receiving a call from Loss Prevention Officers. Once arriving, Officer Keefe discovered that a 62 year-old Toms River man attempted to exit the store after concealing items valued at $104. John Besecker was charged with Shoplifting and provided with a Court date. Shoplifting- On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 8:20 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari was dispatched to Walmart after Loss Prevention Officers identified a shoplifter. After further investigation, Jennifer Provine, 24, of Waretown, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting. During processing, an active warrant issued by the Ocean Township Municipal Court was discovered. After satisfying the warrant, Provine was released pending a Court appearance. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 13th through September 19th, 2019
CDS Arrest- On Friday, September 13, 2019, at 11:20 p.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Jason Lee responded to the Lacey Inn after receiving a report of a suspicious female. Once there, the manager reported that an adult female was knocking on different doors and causing a disturbance. Officers made contact with the female, Jennifer Henry, 38, of Lakewood. While speaking with her, officers observed drugs and paraphernalia on the bed of Henry’s room. Henry was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. Pedestrian Struck- On Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 4:50 a.m., officers responded to Bay Way for a struck pedestrian. The 31 year-old Howell Township female suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center. The vehicle she was struck by fled the area prior to the arrival of police. The vehicle was located and stopped shortly afterward traveling on Route 9. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Eleazar Cholula-Garcia, 31. Cholula-Garcia was issued numerous motor vehicle summonses including DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – September 6th through September 12th, 2019
Fraud- On Friday, September 6, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., Officer Alan Abrecht met with a Township resident who reported fraudulent bank activity. The victim reported that an unknown subject deposited a counterfeit check issued from her account into a New York bank. The check was issued in the amount of $8,754. Shoplifting- On Friday, September 6, 2019, at 4:55 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Dona Carlo-Tanzola, 45, of Barnegat, NJ. Carlo-Tanzola was released on her own recognizance after being charged with Shoplifting. The theft was valued at $254.71. Fraud- On Sunday, September 7, 2019, at 11:50 a.m., Officer Noah Schaffer met with a Lanoka Harbor resident who reported that she was a victim of a fraudulent transaction. The resident reported that she purchased concert tickets with her debit card in April 2019. After never receiving the tickets, she contacted the venue who had no record of the transaction. The total for the tickets, $573, was deducted from the victim’s bank account on the day of the purchase.
