Shoplifting- On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., Officer John McKee responded to Walmart in reference to a shoplifter.  Investigation there led to the arrest of Brianna Birdsall, 25, of Manahawkin.  Brianna was charged with Shoplifting for attempting to exit the store will merchandise valued at $85.  She was released on her own recognizance pending a Court appearance.

Shoplifting- On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 7:20 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to Walmart after receiving a call from Loss Prevention Officers.  Once arriving, Officer Keefe discovered that a 62 year-old Toms River man attempted to exit the store after concealing items valued at $104.  John Besecker was charged with Shoplifting and provided with a Court date.

Shoplifting- On Friday, September 20, 2019, at 8:20 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari was dispatched to Walmart after Loss Prevention Officers identified a shoplifter.  After further investigation, Jennifer Provine, 24, of Waretown, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.  During processing, an active warrant issued by the Ocean Township Municipal Court was discovered.  After satisfying the warrant, Provine was released pending a Court appearance.

Warrant Arrest- On Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 4:50 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to McDonalds after receiving a report concerning a suspicious male.  Upon arrival, Officer Holt identified Brandon Weaver, 28, of Lanoka Harbor.  An inquiry through dispatch discovered several outstanding warrants for Weaver leading to his arrest.  Weaver was transferred to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility without bail after failing to appear at Superior Court.  Two additional traffic warrants totaling $3,500 were also outstanding.  The warrants were issued by the Neptune and Manchester Municipal Courts.

DWI- On Sunday, September 22, 2019, at 1:08 a.m., Officer Brian Holt conducted a motor vehicle stop on Haines Street.  During the stop Officer Holt arrested the driver, Kelly Paige, 22, for impairment.  Additionally, a search of the vehicle led to the arrest of a male passenger, Caleb Joyce, 20.  Paige was released on her own recognizance after being charged criminally with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.  Additional motor vehicle summonses were also issued for DWI, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane.  Caleb Joyce was also charged criminally with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Attempted Burglary- On Sunday, September 22, 2019, at 8:00 p.m., an Ash Road resident contacted police reported that an unknown male suspect attempted to enter her parked vehicle.  Along with numerous residents, several officers searched the area with negative results for the perpetrator.

Structure Fire- On Monday, September 23, 2019, at 12:47 p.m., officers responded to an Oxford Road residence after receiving a 911 call concerning a fire.  Upon arriving, officers discovered heavy smoke emitting from the eves of the home and the homeowners who exited without injury.  After the fire was extinguished by the Lanoka Harbor and Forked River Fire Departments, it was determined that the fire originated at the clothes dryer.

Shoplifting- On Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at 10:23 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota and Noah Schaffer responded to Home Depot in reference to several shoplifters.  Upon their arrival, officers located an adult male who provided name information as Christopher Miller.  Officers were able to identify the suspect as Christopher Cox, 29, of Forked River.  Cox was arrested for attempting to leave to store with items valued at $3,576.  Cox was charged with Shoplifting and Providing False Information.  Two outstanding criminal warrants issued by the Toms River and Seaside Heights Municipal Courts were also discovered.  Cox was transferred to the Ocean County Correctional Facility.  The second male was not apprehended.

Warrant Arrest- On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 12:40 p.m., Sergeant Robert Flynn conducted a motor vehicle stop for speeding on Lacey Road.  During the stop, Sergeant Flynn discovered that the driver’s license was suspended and several outstanding warrants existed.  Brandon Manto, 27, of Brick, was placed under arrest and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,050 bail.  The warrants originated from the Toms River, Eagleswood, and Barnegat Municipal Courts.
