      Arrest- On Friday, December 13, 2019, at 1:06 a.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Dallas Gant observed a vehicle parked near the bay at the end of Laurel Boulevard.  While investigating, it was discovered that the driver, David Thompson, 22, was in possession of marijuana.  Thompson was ultimately arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He was released on his own recognizance.       DWI- On Friday, December 6, 2019, at 3:10 p.m., dispatch received a phone call concerning an intoxicated driver.  Officers Michael Hutman and Anthony Ravallo were able to locate the vehicle on Adolphus Street.  The driver, Randy Miles, 52, was ultimately arrested and transported to headquarters.  Prior to being released, Myles was charged with DWI and Reckless Driving.       Fraud- On Friday, November 7, 2019, at 8:00 p.m., a Township resident reported that he received an email from the US Tech Support Plan in reference to his vehicle warranty.  When the victim contacted the number the male subject asked for bank account information.       Fraud Arrest- On Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 9:10 a.m., Officers Michael Verwey, Dallas Gant, and Bruce Carver met with a Lanoka Harbor resident reporting fraudulent activity.  The victim reported that a delivery truck was at her home with appliances that she did not order.  As the investigation continued, the delivery driver received a call from a male suspect changing the delivery location.  With assistance from the delivery driver, officers were able [...]

      Fire- On Friday, September 27, 2019 at 6:39 a.m., a third party caller contacted our agency to report smoke billowing from the attic of 658 Deerhead Lake Drive, Forked River.  Officers John Simonson and Darrell Nick responded.  The residence was unoccupied at the time and under construction.  The Ocean County Fire Marshal deemed the fire accidental.  The fire was extinguished by the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments.
