Criminal Mischief - A resident of the 300 block of East Lacey Road in Forked River reported criminal mischief to the garage door of the residence. The damage was done between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on August 4, 2013 by an unknown actor or actors. The garage door sustained approximately $1,500 worth of damage.
Burglary Arrest - At approximately 4:45 a.m. on March 10, 2012, (17 months ago) officers responded to an alarm call at the Forked River Pharmacy. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a rear door ajar and determined that it had been pried open. Detectives from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department processed the scene recovering physical evidence including latent fingerprints. Commercial Burglary - On Monday, July 22, 2013, at 1:30 a.m., an unknown subject smashed a glass window along the entrance of the Kohl's Department Store on Route 9 in Forked River and made entry to commit a theft of jewelry. Suspicious Incident - On Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 10:40 a.m. a resident of Forked RIver reported a suspicious incident that occurred earlier in the morning at Gille Park. Heroin Distribution Arrest - On Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 6:00 p.m., Officer Robert Flynn arrested 18-year-old Roger Krinic Jr. of Forked River at Bud Mezzara Park on Lakeside Drive South in Forked River and charged him with Possession of CDS (Heroin), Possession of the CDS with the Intent to Distribute, and the 2nd Degree Crime of Distributing CDS in a Park. Theft - On Monday, July 1, 2013, a homeowner from the 1500 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River reported that an unknown person or persons stole his central air conditioning condenser unit from outside his home sometime between Friday, June 28, 2013 and Monday, July 1, 2013. Theft from Residence - On Saturday, June 29, 2013, a resident on the 200 block of Hemlock Lane in Forked River reported that someone entered the basement of his home and stole a Ryobi table saw and a Dewalt Skilz saw from a storage room in the basement. The caller stated that he worked for Microsoft and needed to access the resident's computer to make repairs.
