Burglary Arrest – At approximately 4:45 a.m. on March 10, 2012, (17 months ago) officers responded to an alarm call at the Forked River Pharmacy. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a rear door ajar and determined that it had been pried open. Detectives from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department processed the scene recovering physical evidence including latent fingerprints. The pharmacy determined that prescription medications were stolen during the burglary.
On the morning of Friday, July 26, 2013, detectives were able to further the investigation by arresting 24-year-old Daniel Costantini of Forked River after fingerprints recovered at the original scene in 2012 were matched to fingerprints in the criminal record database. Lacey detectives arrested Daniel Costantini at his Forked River home and charged him with burglary, theft of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal mischief. Costantini was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility after being unable to post $50,000 bail.
