Promotion to Sergeant and New Officers Appointed

    On Thursday, July 8, 2021, the Lacey Township Police Department promoted Detective Charles May to the rank of Sergeant.  Sergeant May joined the Department in 2007 after serving in the United States Air Force.  During his time with us, Sergeant May spent eight years in the patrol division prior to being assigned as the Department’s first School Resource Officer.  Sergeant May is a member of the Ocean County SWAT team and a liaison [...]

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – July 1 through July 8, 2021

  DWI- On Friday, July 2, 2021, at 4:11 p.m., several officers responded to the area of Riverview Road in reference to a driver going into the water.  Officers eventually located the vehicle on Tamiami Road and deemed the driver under the influence.  Robert Hahn, 59, pulled away from officers as he was being arrested leading to criminal charges of Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Justice.  Hahn was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI, Refusal [...]

COVID-19 Vaccines Available

COVID-19 vaccines will be available at the Lacey Township Mill Pond School on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 3-7 pm.  Anyone with questions pertaining to the event can contact the Ocean County Health Department at (732) 341-9700.

Fireworks Postponed/ July 3, 2021

Based on the available weather models at this time Fireworks have been postponed for tonight (July 3rd) due to the inclement weather forecast. We will be having fireworks on Monday July 5th. Festivities begin at 7:30pm. The forecast for Monday  is 85° sunny and clear. Happy Fourth of July!

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – June 24 through July 1, 2021

MVA- On Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 4:33 p.m., officers responded to the area of Lacey Road and Penn Avenue for a two-car MVA with injuries.  The investigation revealed that the 59 year-old male driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado fell asleep and collided with another vehicle.  The second vehicle, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, was being operated by a Lacey Township man.  One driver was transported to a trauma center for injuries. POWER OUTAGE

The Lacey Township Police Department is aware of the Power Outage affecting our community.  The outage was caused by a down wire.  A time frame for the power restoration is unknown at this time.
