DWI- On Friday, July 2, 2021, at 4:11 p.m., several officers responded to the area of Riverview Road in reference to a driver going into the water. Officers eventually located the vehicle on Tamiami Road and deemed the driver under the influence. Robert Hahn, 59, pulled away from officers as he was being arrested leading to criminal charges of Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Justice. Based on the available weather models at this time Fireworks have been postponed for tonight (July 3rd) due to the inclement weather forecast. We will be having fireworks on Monday July 5th. Festivities begin at 7:30pm. The forecast for Monday is 85° sunny and clear. Happy Fourth of July!
MVA- On Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 4:33 p.m., officers responded to the area of Lacey Road and Penn Avenue for a two-car MVA with injuries. The investigation revealed that the 59 year-old male driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado fell asleep and collided with another vehicle. Theft- On Friday, June 18, 2021, at 8:47 a.m., Officer Scott Anderson was dispatched to an Orlando Drive residence in reference to theft. The homeowner reported that while preparing to go on a golf outing, he placed his bag of clubs near the street waiting for a friend to pick him up. The Lacey Township Police Department is aware of the Power Outage affecting our community. The outage was caused by a down wire. A time frame for the power restoration is unknown at this time.
