On Thursday, July 8, 2021, the Lacey Township Police Department promoted Detective Charles May to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant May joined the Department in 2007 after serving in the United States Air Force. During his time with us, Sergeant May spent eight years in the patrol division prior to being assigned as the Department’s first School Resource Officer. Sergeant May is a member of the Ocean County SWAT team and a liaison to the Police Chaplains.
The Department is also happy to announce the hiring of four full-time police officers; Joseph Pandorf, Dylan Emmett, Nyeem Calhoun, and Michael Hyle, Jr. They are all Veterans of the Armed Forces and each comes with police experience.
