Criminal Mischief – On Friday, February 15, 2013, staff of the Recreation Department reported Criminal Mischief to Township property and Trespassing at Gille Park.  The report involved purposeful damage to the fence protecting the skate park. Unknown actors cut a portion of the fencing and removed clamps to allow for uncontrolled access to the park. Theft - On Monday, February 11, 2013, representatives of a business within the Lacey Business Park, Old Shore Road, Forked River, reported a theft of three (3) air conditioning condenser units valued at over $1,500. The theft occurred during the overnight/early morning hours of Friday, February 9, 2013. Two male subjects operating an older model, dark colored, Jeep Cherokee committed the theft and caused over $300 in damage as well. Theft - On Friday, February 8, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., a resident of 600 block of Chelsea Street reported the theft of a $500 Kenmore condenser from the home's air conditioning unit. The unit was disassembled at the scene by the thief to gain access to the condensor. Residents should be aware that such thefts are becoming more common as the stolen metals are sold for a fraction of their value as "scrap."

Burglary - On Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 12:30 p.m., a resident of Annapolis Lane, Forked River (area behind Rt 9 7-11 Store) reported that his home was burglarized. The matter is currently under investigation.

Theft. On Thursday, February 7, 2013, a resident of Lakeside Drive South, Forked River, reported that sometime during the prior three weeks, unknown subjects stole approximately $300.00 worth of copper piping from the backyard of the residence.
