Theft- On Friday, November 19, 2021, at 12:36 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe was dispatched to Wawa, 800 Lacey Road in reference to a theft. The victim reported that she exited the store and accidently left her purse behind. As she returned to retrieve the purse, it was missing. MVA- On Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 2:24 p.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella investigated a motor vehicle accident on West Lacey Road. It was reported that the accident occurred when the 85 year-old driver of one vehicle turned in front of another vehicle being operate by a 72 year-old Forked River resident. Storm Conditions- On Friday, October 29, 2021, officers fielded an extensive amount of calls in connection with a severe storm. In many waterfront neighborhoods, tides exceeded normal limits causing flooding and damage. High winds resulted in falling trees leading to damaged property. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department/Lacey Emergency Services – No-Shave November – October 29, 2021
Each November, since 2016, the members of the Lacey Township Police Department have broken protocol for a good cause. We have, in a joint effort with members of our Township’s Emergency Services, participated in the national “No-Shave November” campaign. During our five years, we have successfully raised over $26,000.
