Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event Scheduled for Tomorrow Night, (Friday) May 19th, 2017.

The Gille Park Skate Park Evening event will be held tomorrow night, May 19th, 2017, at 6:00 p.m.  The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene.

The Lacey Municipal Police Foundation and the Lacey Township Municipal Alliance have partnered together to bring a mobile gaming trailer to the next scheduled skate park event (June 2, 2017). The mobile gaming trailer will be provided by “Party Crashers” and will be at the skate park from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available to the kids. The “Party Crashers” mobile gaming trailer participated in last year’s Lacey Day Event, and has participated in numerous events throughout Ocean County.

The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates.  Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park. In addition, Tom and Dee’s Italian Ice will be on location.

Additional evening skate park events will be held on Friday, June 2nd, and Friday, June 30th, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m  (Additional dates will be announced).

These events are being coordinated by the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Township Police Department, Lacey Township Municipal Alliance, and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation.
