Lacey 5k- August 25th, 2018-Traffic Alert/Anticipated Road Closures/Recycling Yard Delayed Opening
The annual Lacey 5k race is scheduled for Saturday August 25, 2018 at 8:30 am. The race will begin in Gille Park. To facilitate the race, portions of Veteran’s Way, Municipal Lane, Calvin Street, and Newark Avenue (north of Lacey Road) will be closed from 8:30 am to 9:00 am. Memorial Day Parade - On Monday, May 29th, 2017, at approximately 9:45 a.m. traffic will be blocked on Lacey Road from just west of the Forked River Elementary School (Caldwell Avenue) to three blocks west of the Lacey Township Municipal Building (Newark Avenue). Traffic Alert–Lacey Township
The Lacey Township Police Department is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Route 9 South and Taylor Lane. This intersection will be closed for at least the next few hours while the investigation takes place. The Lacey Township Police Department is asking all motorists to use an alternate route until the investigation is concluded. Traffic Notice - On Monday evening, April 18, 2016, the county will be repaving the portion of West Lacey Road between Dover Road and Aspen Road. The project is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday evening, April 18, 2016 and is expected to be completed by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016. Delays should be expected and alternate routes should be use if possible to avoid the area during the construction.
