      Shoplifting Arrest – On Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 7:14 p.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel and Robert Duffy responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Tara N. Bowker of South Street, Lanoka Harbor, for shoplifting. Tara attempted to conceal $49.24 in merchandise, but was apprehended by store personnel. Tara was processed and released on a complaint summons for Shoplifting. [...]

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 3rd through May 9th, 2019

      Fraud- On Friday, May 3, 2019, Officer Michael Baldasari took a report of fraud from a Township resident.  The resident reported that he received an offer via Craigslist for outdoor furniture that he had posted for sale.  The purchaser forwarded a check via overnight mail for an amount much higher than the asking price.  The buyer asked that the check be cashed and the extra money to be given to the moving [...]

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – April 26th through May 2nd, 2019

      Fires – On April 26, 2019, Officer Julie Barcalow and Officer Michael Baldasari responded to the report of an appliance fire at an East Lacey Road, Forked River residence.   The homeowner was able to extinguish the fire that emerged from the back of the range. Department News-Lacey Township Police Department-Burglary Arrest

      Brush Fire – On April 11, 2019, at 6:09 p.m., Officers Sarno and Barcalow responded to Earie Way, Forked River, for a reported brush fire. The fire, approximately ¼ acre in size, was extinguished by members of the Forked River Fire Company.  The fire is under investigation.       Criminal Mischief/Graffiti — On Monday, April 8, 2019, Officer Alan Abrecht responded to 514 Route 9, Lanoka Harbor for criminal mischief. An unknown person(s) entered the Lidl Grocery Store construction site and spray painted various areas of the building, to include a swastika painted on the rear exterior of the building.         Theft – On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at 1:13 p.m. Officer Randolph Plis responded to police headquarters to take a report of theft.
