Criminal Mischief – On Friday, September 30, 2022, at 8:44 p.m., while conducting a check of Gille Park, Officer Swain discovered graffiti inside of one of the bathrooms.  The value of the damage was estimated at $50.00.

Theft – On Friday, September 30, 2022, at 9:11 p.m., Officer Swain met with a complainant who wished to report the theft of her son’s bicycle.  The complainant advised Officer Swain that her son’s black and white Mongoose BMX bicycle was stolen from her Olds Street residence on Thursday, September 29, sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.  The bicycle was valued at $250.00.

Criminal Mischief – On Monday, October 3, 2022, at 8:09 p.m., while conducting a check of Gille Park, Officer Watkins discovered graffiti both inside and outside of one of the bathrooms.  The value of the damage was estimated at $100.00.

Criminal Mischief – On Monday, October 3, 2022, at 9:25 p.m., while conducting a check of Clune Park, Officer Watkins discovered graffiti on the playground equipment.  The value of the damage was estimated at $100.00.

Shoplifting – On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11:28 p.m., Officers Walsh and Sarno responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting.  The store employee advised officers that they had observed a female fail to ring up a number of items while at the self-checkout, then attempt to leave the store without paying for them. The stolen items were valued at $169.28.  Officers met with the suspect, April Toriello, 42, of Barnegat, and placed her under arrest.  April was transported to police headquarters, charged with Shoplifting and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
