*** Breast Cancer Awareness and No-Shave November)
Each November, since 2016, the members of the Lacey Township Police Department have broken protocol for a good cause. We have, in a joint effort with members of our Township’s Emergency Services, participated in the national “No-Shave November” campaign. During our six years, we have successfully raised over $35,000 to fight cancer. These funds were disseminated through various cancer fighting organizations as directed by the No-Shave November campaign as well as our Keep it Local campaign. This year, the members of the Lacey Township Police Department will once again be breaking protocol in the No Shave way, with a slight twist.
Effective tomorrow, October 8, 2022, the No-Shave campaign will begin a little early in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
During the month of October you may find our clerical and communications staff in their Breast Cancer Awareness themed polo shirts. Additionally, our No-Shave participating members will begin to “Let it Grow” tomorrow in support of our continued quest for cancer awareness (Breast Cancer Awareness and No-Shave November).
Stay tuned as a future release will be forthcoming with information regarding the No-Shave November and Keeping it Local campaign.
