Disturbance / Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 4:21 p.m., officers responded to the Lacey Inn for a report of a disturbance between guests. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with Evan Pinney, 28, of Eagleswood. Evan was later found to have outstanding warrants originating out of the New Jersey State Police and Neptune City. Evan was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed on the warrants before being released on his own recognizance, pending future court appearances.
Assist Other Agency / Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:56 p.m., Officers responded to a Ranger Drive residence at the request of the Warren Township Police Department to serve an arrest warrant. Upon their arrival, Officers met with the wanted person, James Zu, 60, of Warren. James was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. James was processed at headquarters before being transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility, without incident.
Shoplifting – On Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 12:08 p.m., Officers Biel and Abrecht responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting. The store employee advised officers that they had observed a male attempt to steal approximately $125.00 worth of merchandise. Officers met with the suspect, Rudolf Kohl, 51, of Little Egg Harbor, and placed him under arrest. Rudolf was transported to police headquarters, charged with Shoplifting and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
DWI – On Monday, October 17, 2022, at 1:03 a.m., officers responded to Bud Mezera Park for a report of a vehicle in the parking lot sounding its horn. Upon arrival, officers met with the driver, Emily Lioudis, 35, of Forked River. Investigation at the scene revealed that Emily was driving while intoxicated. Emily was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where she was processed. Emily was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI and Reckless Driving before being released in accordance with John’s Law.
Burglary / Motor Vehicle Theft – On Monday, October 17, 2022, at 1:53 p.m., Officers Hutman and Schaffer responded to the Popcorn Park Zoo for a report of a woman burglarizing vehicles. Upon their arrival, multiple complainants advised that they had observed a female entering numerous unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot. The female was also observed to be driving one of the vehicles before being stopped by its owner. Officers met with the suspect, Leticia Mendoza, 29, of Browns Mills, and placed her under arrest. Leticia was transported to police headquarters, charged with three counts of Burglary, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Criminal Attempt, and Obstructing the Administration of Law, and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
