Disorderly Conduct- On Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 9:53 a.m., Officers Matthew D’Antonio and Jason Lee responded to the Lacey Mall after a caller reported that a male suspect was shooting a bb gun from a vehicle. Although the suspect was not present upon arrival of officers, they were able to identify the actor as Ryedan Ashworth, 18. Officers also confirmed that Ashworth was shooting a water bead gun rather than a bb gun. Ashworth was issued a complaint for Disorderly Conduct.
Disorderly Conduct- On Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 1:28 a.m., several officers responded to a Windsor Street address and interacted with an adult female. During the interaction, Jamie Rawlins, 39, screamed at officers ultimately causing public inconvenience. She was issued a summons for Disorderly Conduct.
DWI- On Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 2:19 a.m., Officer Michael Hyle was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Bay Way near Route 9. The caller reported that a passing Chevy Cobalt left the traveled portion of the roadway striking two of his parked vehicles. The vehicle further collided with two mailboxes and a street sign prior to leaving the scene. The vehicle was located on Ash Road displaying damage consistent with the accident. The driver of the vehicle, Alan Garcia, 27, was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident. He was released pending a Court appearance.
Criminal Mischief- On Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 9:00 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe discovered damage to the bathrooms at Clune Park. The unknown actor(s) used spray paint to write graffiti on the building.
Arrest- On Monday, April 11, 2022, at 4:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to Chipotle in reference to an irate customer. An employee reported that a patron became annoyed when told that a dog could not be in the restaurant. The suspect went behind the counter reportedly striking the employee. As the incident progressed, the suspect threw a chair nearly striking the employee. Officer Dan Biel was able to locate the suspect, Zalika Hamilton, driving on Lacey Road. During the stop, Officer Biel arrested Hamilton for two outstanding warrants issued by the Lacey and Brick Municipal Courts, and an additional warrant issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. Hamilton, 27, of Lakewood, was ultimately charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Hamilton was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.
