Motor Vehicle Crash/DWI- On Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 8:33 p.m., multiple officers, including Officers Copes, responded to Route 9 South and Taylor Lane for a report of a crash. Investigation at the scene reveled one of the drivers, Shirley R. Dilauri, 52, of Nutley, NJ, was suspected of being under the influence. Shirley was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. At the conclusion of processing, Shirley was released after being served with multiple traffic summonses including DWI.
Theft/Criminal Mischief- On Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:24 a.m., Officer Slota responded to headquarters for a theft report. Upon arrival, Office Slota met with the victim who stated they had two flags taken from their front yard. The unknown actor had also damaged a PVC pipe to remove the flags. The total value of the flags is $22.00.
DWI- On Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 9:28 p.m., Officer Watkins responded the temporary traffic signal on West Lacey Road, for a report of a vehicle that was stopped at the traffic signal for approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival, the officer met with the driver, Andres Fernandezvillalob, 35, of 24 East Lacey Road, Forked River. Investigation at the scene revealed that Andres was driving while intoxicated. Officer Watkins placed Andres under arrest and transported him to headquarters, where he was processed. Andres was charged with DWI and Reckless Driving upon release.
Theft/Criminal Mischief- On April 25, 2022, at 8:18 a.m., Officer Lee responded to Aphrodite Marble for a theft. Upon arrival, Officer Lee met with the victim who reported the catalytic converter to their commercial vehicle was stolen. The approximate value of the catalytic converter is $2,000.00.
Theft/Criminal Mischief- On April 25, 2022, at 12:40 p.m. Officer Lee responded to Caporale Pet Supplies for a theft. Upon arrival, Officer Lee met with the victim who reported the catalytic converter to their commercial vehicle was stolen. The approximate value of the catalytic converter is $2,000.00.
