Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 31st through June 6th, 2019
Criminal Mischief – On Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 1:13 p.m., Officer John Simonson responded to the area of Good Luck Road, Forked River, for a report of criminal mischief to a home on the block. The damage to the residence was in excess of $500. Illegal Dumping – On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 10:07 a.m., Officer Randolph Plis responded to the area of Brown Street in Forked River, for a report of Illegal Dumping. The caller reported that a white van dumped wood, tarps and bags of trash in the wooded area off of Brown Street. The Lacey Township Department of Public Works was notified to remove the garbage. This incident remains under investigation. Pole Fire – On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 2:25 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the area of the 500 block of Adolphus Street, Forked River for a telephone pole transformer fire. The Forked River Fire Company along with JCP&L was contacted to handle the issue. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Oyster Creek Emergency Alert Siren Test – Today, June 4, 2019, at 12pm
*** Oyster Creek Emergency Alert Siren Test Scheduled for Today, June 4th, 2019 at 12pm *** Please be advised that the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station will be testing their emergency alert sirens, today, June 4, 2019, at 12 pm. The emergency sirens will sound simultaneously for three (3) minutes during the test. The emergency sirens are positioned within a 10-mile radius of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. Residents should be aware that the intent of the emergency alert sirens is to advise people to immediately tune to the emergency broadcasting system for direction in an actual emergency. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Memorial Day Parade – Monday, May 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
Memorial Day Parade - On Monday, May 27th, 2019, at approximately 9:45 a.m. traffic will be blocked on Lacey Road from just west of the Forked River Elementary School (Caldwell Avenue) to three blocks west of the Lacey Township Municipal Building (Newark Avenue). Additionally, at the conclusion of the parade, Lacey Road will be blocked between Manchester Avenue and Newark Avenue until approximately 12:00 p.m for a Memorial. The Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude with a Memorial Service at Bicentennial Park, located along Lacey Road in front of the Lacey Township Police Department. For those of you who are not attending the parade, however, will be driving in the area of Lacey Road during this time-frame, should select an alternate route around the area. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 26th Through June 1st, 2017
Burglary and Theft (Auto) - On Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 9:34 a.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to the Walmart , located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a car burglary that just occurred in the parking lot. A vehicle description was provided. Responding officers located and stopped the vehicle in the ShopRitePlaza, located at 348 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 57-year- old Allan C. Morgan, Jr., of Hampton, Virginia, for burglary of an automobile and the theft of a Garmin GPS and a pack of cigarettes, with a total value of $58. Further investigation revealed that Allan C. Morgan, Jr., shoplifted a Marketside Italian Hero, valued at $3.98, while he was in the Walmart, just prior to the auto burglary. He was also found to be in possession of CDS. Allen C. Morgan was transported to police headquarters and processed. Burglary and Theft (Auto) – On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 5:56 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between 9:30 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. on May 24, 2017, an unknown person or persons entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his Wiley-X prescription sunglasses valued at $350. The vehicle was parked in the Home Depot Parking lot, 244 Route 9 North in Forked River, when the theft occurred. Drug Arrest – On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 5:12 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of a suspicious female inside the store. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Lisamarie Narciso, of Freemont Avenue in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, for being Under the Influence of CDS. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Lisamarie Narciso was released after receiving criminal summonses for Being Under the Influence of CDS, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 12:56 a.m., Officers Jesse Dalziel, Scott Keefe, and Jason Lee responded to the Wawa, 701 Route 9, Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a suspicious male in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Alexander J. Madonna of Pheasant Drive, Bayville, New Jersey, on an outstanding harassment warrant out of South Toms River in the bail amount of $500. Alexander Madonna was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and ROR’d on the warrant. Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 11:08 p.m., while investigating a suspicious person at the 7-Eleven, 524 Lacey Road, Forked River, Officer Jesse Dalziel discovered that 51-year-old Antonio Giudice of Deerhead Lake Drive, Forked River, had an active Child Support Warrant out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $10,327.86. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters and processed. He was also issued a motor vehicle summons for Driving with a Suspended License, and transported to the Ocean County Correctional facility on the warrant.
