Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 2, 2021 through December 9, 2021
Warrant Arrest- On Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 8:06 p.m., Officer Martin Julian conducted a motor vehicle stop on the 700 block of Route 9 South in Forked River, after observing a violation. During the stop, it was discovered that the driver, Zalika Hamilton, 26, had an outstanding Ocean Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $450. Zalika was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. She was later released after satisfying the bail. Warrant Arrest- On Friday, December 3, 2021, at 9:10 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a motor vehicle at the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Evans Road. The vehicle owner, Rashaun Small, 23, was arrested on an outstanding Barnegat Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $450. Rashaun Small was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was released from custody after satisfying the bail. Criminal Mischief- On Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 4:01 p.m., Officer Michael Hyle responded to Lacey Liquors on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, in reference to a complaint of damage. Motor Vehicle Stop/Warrant Arrest: On Friday, November 26, 2021, at 10:45 pm, Officer Dylan Emmett conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Route 9 and Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor, for no head lights on. The driver, Jacquelyn Smith, age 30, was found to have an outstanding no-bail warrant from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. As a result of the warrant she was arrested and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident. Motor Vehicle Stop/Warrant Arrest: On Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 1:51 pm, Officer Michael Hyle conducted a motor vehicle stop on Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor. The driver, William Frank, age 77, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding Berkeley Township Municipal Court warrant. W. Frank was transported to headquarters where he posted his bail in full. He was issued a motor vehicle summons and released. Criminal Mischief: On Sunday, November 28, 2021, at 5:46 pm, Officer Michael Hyle responded to Gille Park for a report of criminal mischief to the bathrooms. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 6 through October 13, 2022
Shoplifting / Warrant Arrest – On Friday, October 7, 2022, at 1:37 p.m., Officer Hutman and Sergeant Nick responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting. A store employee advised officers that they had observed a male take merchandise from within the store and immediately attempt to return it using an old receipt. The stolen items were valued at $35.97. Officers met with the suspect, Jason Hickey, 39, of Lanoka Harbor, and placed him under arrest. Jason was also found to have an outstanding warrant originating out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. Jason was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Shoplifting on a summons. Jason was able to post bail on the warrant, and was released pending a future court appearances. Theft – On Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 12:34 p.m., Officer Lee responded to the Lacey Shell for a report of theft. Upon his arrival, a gas station employee advised that a customer had just left the business without paying for gasoline. The gasoline was valued at $15.00. Criminal Mischief – On Friday, September 30, 2022, at 8:44 p.m., while conducting a check of Gille Park, Officer Swain discovered graffiti inside of one of the bathrooms. The value of the damage was estimated at $50.00. Theft – On Friday, September 30, 2022, at 9:11 p.m., Officer Swain met with a complainant who wished to report the theft of her son’s bicycle. The complainant advised Officer Swain that her son’s black and white Mongoose BMX bicycle was stolen from her Olds Street residence on Thursday, September 29, sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The bicycle was valued at $250.00. Criminal Mischief – On Monday, October 3, 2022, at 8:09 p.m., while conducting a check of Gille Park, Officer Watkins discovered graffiti both inside and outside of one of the bathrooms. The value of the damage was estimated at $100.00. Criminal Mischief – On Monday, October 3, 2022, at 9:25 p.m., while conducting a check of Clune Park, Officer Watkins discovered graffiti on the playground equipment. Disturbance/Warrant Arrest – On Friday, September 23, 2022, at 9:08 p.m., officers responded to the Lacey Inn for a report of a disturbance involving guests. Upon their arrival, officers made contact with one of the guests, Matthew Dambrosio, 33, of South Amboy. Matthew was found to have an outstanding warrant originating out of the Piscataway Municipal Court, and was placed under arrest. Matthew was transported to police headquarters where he was processed prior to being released on his own recognizance, pending a future court appearance. Shoplifting – On Monday, September 26, 2022, at 5:16 p.m., Officers Gant and Keefe responded to Walmart for a reported shoplifting. The store employee advised officers that they had observed a male and female fail to ring up a number of items while at the self-checkout, then attempt to leave the store without paying for them. The stolen items were valued at $389.43. Officers met with the suspects, John Mimes, 25, and Ikarii Randolph, 32, both of Barnegat, and placed them under arrest. John and Ikarii were transported to police headquarters and charged with Shoplifting. John was charged on a warrant and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility, where he was lodged without incident. [...]
