Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Cub Scouts Pack 35 Annual November Pot Luck Pack Night – November 17th, 2016

DiBella and 9-year-old Alex from Forked River, during the Annual November Pot Luck Pack night held at the Community Hall, on the evening of November 17, 2016. On the evening of Thursday, November 17, 2016, members of the Lacey Township Police Department attended the Cub Scouts Pack 35 Annual November Pot Luck Pack Night, held at the Lacey Township Community Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Chief Michael DiBella, Lieutenant Paul Sullivan, Jr., and Officer Jason Lee joined several cub scouts and their families from Pack 35, along with members of the United States Marines. The Lacey Township Police Department brought their Emergency Services Unit and the United States Marines brought two military vehicles. The evening consisted of food and fun, which included several photos of the cub scouts interacting with the Military and Police vehicles. In addition, Cub Scout Pack 35 donated several toys to the Marines "Toys for Tots" program. Webelo 2 Leader Lisa Campise from Pack 35, advised that the Cub Scouts November meeting highlights our Veterans and all those who serve to keep us safe. Department News – Lacey Towship Police Department – Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection from November 16th, 2016

Courtesy Child Seat Safety Inspection Event (November 16th, 2016) –The Lacey Township Police Department, with the assistance of members of the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, conducted courtesy child seat safety inspections for several parents, grandparents, and caregivers. The event was held between 4:00 p.m. and 7 :00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16th, 2016, at the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Each inspection took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Participants were provided information on the safe installation and use of child seats by trained and certified child seat technicians. The next Child Safety Seat Inspection event will be held at the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition to our child seat safety inspections , the Lacey Township Police Department offers the service to our residents throughout the entire year. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Senior Scam/Fraud Presentations
The attached pictures depict Lacey Township Police Lieutenant Paul Sullivan, Jr., presenting during the Senior Scam and Identity Theft presentation held at the Knights of Columbus in Forked River, on Monday, November 14th, 2016. On Monday, November 14th, 2016, the Lacey Township Police Department conducted a Senior Scams and Identity Theft presentation for the Ladies auxiliary, held at the Knights of Columbus, located at 15 East Lacey Road in Forked River. Lacey Township Police Chief Michael DiBella and Lieutenant Paul Sullivan, Jr were present. The primary presenter, Lieutenant Sullivan, discussed different types of frauds including but not limited to the international lotteries, IRS phone scams, electrical company phone scams, banking emails (phishing), and the more recent "Grandson phone calls" (where the caller acts as a grandchild and requests money to post bail for a bogus out-of-state DUI Arrest). Chief DiBella focused on Internet credit card fraud and preventative safety measures for the upcoming Holiday Season. In addition, Chief DiBella answered questions and concerns in regard to the statewide heroin and opiate epidemic. The Lacey Township Police Department is taking an active role in protecting our community from the large number of Senior Scams occurring across the nation.
