Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Lacey Elks Makes Donation to Police Department Narcotics Unit – January 12, 2018

DiBella, Exalted Ruler Don Tonachio (Lacey Elks) and Past Exalted Ruler JoAnn Crossley (Lacey Elks), after they (Lacey Elks) presented the Lacey Police Department with a donation of two ballistic shields, during the January 11th, 2018 Lacey Township Meeting. On the evening of Thursday, January 12, 2018, the Lacey Elks made a donation to the Lacey Township Police Department during the regularly scheduled Township Meeting. Members of the Lacey Elks, including Exalted Ruler Don Tonachio, Past State President Richard Bard, and Past Exalted Ruler Joann Crossley, presented Chief Michael C. DiBella and his detectives, two (2) Ballistic Shields that will be utilized by the Lacey Police Narcotics Unit when conducting search warrants. In 2017 the Lacey Township Police Department made approximately 175 illegal drug arrests and conducted more than a dozen search warrants. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – January 5th, 2018 through January 11th, 2018
Fraud – On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 7:01 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari took a report from a victim regarding credit card fraud. The victim reported that she received her Citi Bank credit card statement and discovered several unauthorized purchases that had been made. The victim then reported that her husband later discovered that his credit card was missing. Purchases were made with the credit card in Lacey Township, Berkeley Township, Toms River Township, and Point Pleasant. It was determined that the purchases occurred between the October 16, 2017, and October 21, 2017, totaling over $1500. The incident remains under investigation. Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 4:50 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of Surf Taco, 44 Manchester Avenue, in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, 30-year-old Nicole A. Brown, of Brentwood Drive, Bayville, NJ, for an outstanding traffic warrant out of Bordentown Municipal Court for $114. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – YPR Hosts Free Narcan Training – January 22, 2018
On Monday, January 22, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm, Narcan (Naloxone) training will be offered for free at the Forever Young Nursery School, located at 1030 Lacey Road in Forked River. The event is being hosted by YPR of Ocean County (Young People in Recovery) and the training will be provided by Urban Treatment Associates, 808 Market Street in Camden, NJ 08102. News Update – Burglary Arrest – Fleetwood Drive, Forked River – Lacey Township Police Department
Burglary and Theft from a Residence (Arrest) - On Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 8:00 p.m., a resident of the 1700 block of Fleetwood Drive in Forked River reported that earlier that morning she discovered the door leading from her garage to the interior of her residence was pried open and a metal lock box containing prescription medications was stolen from a bedroom. The victim was able to successfully provide the name and information of a female suspect who was known to the victim. Officer Noah Schaffer located 27-year-old Julie A. Knoeringer at her residence of 1732 Longwood Drive in Forked River at 1:45 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, and placed her under arrest for burglary and theft. Julie Knoeringer also had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. One warrant was issued out of the Beachwood Municipal Court for $500 and the other outstanding warrant was issued out of the Lacey Township Municipal Court for $500. Julie Knoeringer was charged with burglary and theft on a criminal warrant and bail was set at $25,000 with no 10% option. She was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release May 20th, 2014 thru May 26th, 2014 . . DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, May 26, 2014, at 1:42 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as a 17-year-old female juvenile from Forked River for DUI. The driver was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was released to a family member after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and a Provisional Driver’s License Violation. The driver was also charged on a juvenile complaint with Underage Consumption of Alcohol. The vehicle that the 17-year-old was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. In addition to this arrest, a passenger, identified as 20-year-old Nicholas Green of Beach Boulevard in Forked River was charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol. He was issued a complaint summons at the scene and released. Weekly Police Blotter - Press Release May 14th, 2014 thru May 19th, 2014 . . Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary and Criminal Mischief – On Monday, May 19, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to the 1700 block of Hillwood Road in Forked River for an attempted burglary of a residence. Investigation at the scene determined that between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., an unknown person or persons attempted to pry open a locked window to the residence. The window frame and screen sustained minor damage. No entry was gained to the residence. Lacey Police Detective Brian Flynn responded and is investigating. Criminal Mischief to a Motor Vehicle – On Monday, May 19, 2014, at 8:48 p.m., Officer George Resetar responded to the 300 block of Merrimac Road in Forked River for a report of criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between Friday, May 16, 2014 and Sunday, May 18, 2014, an unknown person or persons slashed a tire on his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the residence.
