Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – July 13th, 2018 through July 19th, 2018
Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 9:45 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a motor vehicle stop near South Street and Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor for failure to maintain a lane. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the passenger of the motor vehicle, 23-year-old Nicholis A. Caruso of Dickens Street, Browns Mills, NJ, for multiple outstanding warrants. One warrant was an Ocean County warrant in the amount of $869.00 and two were out of Pemberton Township, in the amount of $651.00. Nicholis Caruso was transported to Ocean County Correctional Facility on the outstanding warrants, and also received summonses for open container in a motor vehicle and failure to wear seatbelt. Fraud – On Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 8:40 p.m., Officer Julie Barcalow took a report of fraud at police headquarters. The victim reported that an unknown person opened a credit card in his name using his date of birth and social security number. The card was opened using a Post Office Box address out of Homestead, Florida on January 14, 2018. The balance on the credit card is over $4000. The Florida address is unknown to the victim. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Courtesy (Non Enforcement) Child Seat Safety Check – Saturday, July 28, 2018
*** Courtesy Child Seat Safety Check - Lacey United Methodist Church - Saturday, July 28, 2018 *** On Saturday, July 28, 2018, the Lacey Township Police Department will be hosting a courtesy (non-enforcement) child seat safety check at the Lacey United Methodist Church parking lot, located at 203 Lacey Road, Forked River, from 9am to 1pm. Specially trained certified child seat technicians from the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department will conduct inspections of installed seats and assist participants in the proper installation of child seats. Technicians will assist not only in the inspection of the seats, but will also educate caregivers on the proper seat selection and installation. Seat inspections take approximately 20 minutes per vehicle. The event will take place during the Lacey United Methodist Church Shore Fest. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Next Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event – Tomorrow Night, July 13, 2018
*** Next Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event, Tomorrow Night, July 13th, 2018 *** The Lacey Township Police Department has partnered with the Lacey Township Recreation Department, the Lacey Municipal Alliance, and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation, to open the Gille Park Skate Park, for Lacey Township residents, on select Friday evenings. The events started in August 2016, and continued through last year. The next Gille Park Skate Park Evening Event, also known as "Friday Night Lights" will be held tomorrow night, July 13th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. The skate park will be open from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music beginning at 7:00 p.m. Lighting will be provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from our local Fire Departments. In addition, the Lacey Township Police Department will be on scene. The event will also include a mobile gaming trailer provided by "Party Crashers" from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Age appropriate games will be available for the kids. The "Party Crashers" mobile gaming trailer has participated in prior Gille Park Skate Park Evening Events, prior Lacey Day Events, as well as numerous other events throughout Ocean County. Weekly Police Blotter August 18th thru August 24th, 2015 . Criminal Mischief – On Monday, August 24, 2015, at 8:34 a.m., Officer Kymberly Gudgeon responded to the 800 block of Sunrise Boulevard for a report of criminal mischief. The victim reported that between 4:30 p.m. on August 21, 2015 and 8:30 a.m. on August 24, 2015, an unknown person or persons slashed two tires on his box trailer and a rear tire of his work truck. The damage is estimated at $400. Warrant Arrest - On Monday, August 24, 2015, at 11:00 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins conducted a motor vehicle stop of a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel on Lacey Road. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 18-year-old Michael Mitchell of East Main Street in Tuckerton, NJ, on an outstanding Howell Township Municipal Court traffic warrant in the amount of $164. Michael Mitchell was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting full bail. Weekly Police Blotter August 11th thru August 17th, 2015 . DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, August 17, 2015, at 7:58 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins conducted a traffic stop on F Street in Forked River. Officer Michael Verwey responded to assist. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 54-year-old Laurie Gerisch of Warren Town Road in Toms River, NJ, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Monday, August 17, 2015, at 11:30 a.m., Lieutenant Michael DiBella conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 25-year-old Klint Neiman of Reading, Pennsylvania, for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Careless Driving, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Truck Route Violation, Expired Registration, and Driving with a Suspended License. Weekly Police Blotter August 4th thru August 11th, 2015 . Drug Possession, Shoplifting, and Warrant Arrest – On Monday, August 10, 2015, at 6:31 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella was dispatched to the area of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifting incident. Walmart Loss Prevention reported that the female shoplifter had fled the store in a vehicle. A description of the female shoplifter and her vehicle were provided. While responding to Walmart, Officer Ricciardella observed the suspect vehicle traveling on Manchester Avenue in Forked River and conducted a traffic stop. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 24-year-old Sheri A. Healey of North Maple Avenue in Tuckerton, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $79. In addition, she was found to be in Possession of Heroin. Additionally a warrant, issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for $2,500 was also located for her arrest. Sheri Healey was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was charged on a complaint warrant with Shoplifting, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
