Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – July 27th, 2018 through August 3, 2018
DWI Arrest – On Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 1:18 a.m., Officer Martin Julian conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North near Lakeside Drive South. The driver of the vehicle, 58- year old Mark Startek, Lakeside Drive, was arrested for DWI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Mark Startek was later released after receiving summonses for DWI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. Theft – On Thursday, August 2, 2018, at 1:58 a.m., Officers Martin Julian and Dimitri Tsarnas responded to Walmart on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a report that a male and female were leaving the parking lot riding two Walmart motorized shopping carts heading west on Haines Street. The store manager was notified. The Loss Prevention Department will be checking surveillance footage. The value of the theft is estimated at $1000. DWI Arrest – On Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 12:11 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari conducted a motor vehicle stop on Western Boulevard and Brick Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. *** National Night Out, Next Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, at Gille Park, 6pm to 11pm *** I am happy to announce that the Lacey Township Police Department will be presenting our 2nd Annual National Night Out, next Tuesday, August 7th, 2018. The event will take place on the south side of Gille Park, 56 Manchester Avenue, Forked River, 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The purpose of this event is to strengthen law enforcement and community partnerships, and promote drug and DUI prevention and education. This event will offer a variety of entertainment for all ages to enjoy. The Lacey Township Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the New Jersey State Police will be on site. Each agency will present different pieces of law enforcement equipment and apparatus. The Lacey Township Police Department will have patrol vehicles on scene and will be available for photographs with visitors. Have your son or daughter take a picture with one of our officers in their favorite police car. Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 1:40 p.m., Officers Darrell Nick, Dan Ricciardella, and Special Officer Austin Deane responded to the 500 block of Elwood Street in Forked River to serve a warrant out of Lacey Township Municipal Court on 39-year-old Brenna A. Haase, Elwood street, Forked River, in the amount of $1000. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Brenna Haase was unable to post bail and was transferred to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident. Fraud – On the morning of Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Officer Dan Ricciardella investigated a matter involving credit card fraud. A local business reported that the company credit card was used fraudulently to make over $600 in purchases. Officer Ricciardella was able to identify the suspect through surveillance video and with the help of the business owner, was able to identify the suspect as an employee of the business. On Thursday, July 26, 2018, 25-year-old Christopher Muraczewski was arrested by detectives and charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. Weekly Police Blotter September 15th thru September 22nd, 2015 . Traffic Accident with DUI (Arrest) – On Sunday, September 20, 2015, at 8:33 p.m., Officer John D. Simonson responded to the intersection of Lacey Road and Route 9 for a two vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation revealed that vehicle number one was stopped in traffic southbound on Route 9 when the rear of the vehicle was struck by vehicle number two. A further investigation at the scene led to the arrest of driver number two, identified as 43-year-old Sean Gurski of Radcliffe Road in Lanoka Harbor, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Sean Gurski was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law. There were no injuries reported. Weekly Police Blotter September 9th thru September 15th, 2015 . Aggravated Assault (Arrest) – On Monday, September 14, 2015, at 4:01 p.m., Officer Elton Copes, Officer Michael Hein, and Officer Noah Schaffer responded to Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, in reference to two males fighting in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Eric D. Jablonski of 34 Geneva Road in Lakehurst, NJ for Aggravated Assault. Witnesses reported that Eric Jablonski struck 47-year-old Kevin Tice of Beachwood, NJ, in the face causing him to fall to the ground. The witnesses reported that Eric Jablonski then kicked the victim in the face, as the victim was on the ground and unable to defend himself. The injuries to the victim were consistent with the information provided by the witnesses. The victim was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment. Eric Jablonski was arrested and transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters. Eric Jablonski was processed and charged on a criminal warrant with 2nd Degree Aggravated Assault and 3rd Degree Endangering an Injured Victim. Weekly Police Blotter September 2nd thru September 8th, 2015 . Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Monday, September 7, 2015, at 2:19 p.m., Officers Kymberly Gudgeon and Jeffrey Slota responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Kevin Hayes of Chelsea Avenue in Ocean Gate, NJ for shoplifting merchandise valued at $193.66. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Shoplifting. Criminal Mischief – On Monday, September 7, 2015, at 11:53 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 1400 block of Clearview Street in Forked River for criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between 11:00 p.m. on September 6, 2015 and 10:00 a.m. on September 7, 2015, an unknown person or persons damaged the center of his garage door causing damage in the amount of $300. Criminal Mischief – On Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 7:42 p.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to TD Bank, located at 106 Route 9 North in Forked River, for damage to the front door.
