Code Red Reverse 911 Emergency Alert Registration
Lacey Township residents are encouraged to sign up for Reverse 9-1-1 notifications through Onsolve CodeRed on their cellular telephones. Click here to be taken to the account access page. The police department utilizes the Reverse 9-1-1 system to send out important telephone messages to residents based on the geographic location of each resident’s home telephone. While land-line, home and business telephones are already in the system’s database, cellular phone numbers are not in the system. This feature allows residents to register additional phone numbers in the Onsolve CodeRed system, so an emergency message related to Lacey Township will be received regardless of the resident’s location at the time. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Project Medicine Drop Box at Urgent Care Now – This Saturday, February 2, 2019
On Saturday, February 2, 2019, the Lacey Township Police Department will be bringing our portable Project Medicine (Prescription Drug) Drop-box to Urgent Care Now, located at 539 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. The medicine drop box provides our residents with a method to properly dispose of unwanted medication in a safe and legal manner. Please note that no syringes or liquids may be dropped in the box. A Special Police Officer will be on site with the Project Medicine Drop Box and will be located inside the Urgent Care between the hours of 9am and 12pm. Please come and drop off your unwanted medication. If anyone has any questions in regard to the Project Medicine Drop box, you may contact Detective Lieutenant Vincent Meehan at the Lacey Township Police Department, 609-693-6636 ext. 2560. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – January 18 through January 24, 2019
Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 8:38 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road in the Ocean First Bank parking lot. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 44-year-old David Sikora, of Beach Boulevard in Forked River, on an outstanding Beachwood Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $200. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. David Sikora was later released on his own recognizance. Trespassing and Warrant Arrest – On Monday, January 21, 2019, at 8:22 p.m., Officers Scott Keefe and Patrick Watkins responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a suspicious incident. A male subject climbed the fence and kicked open the door in the garden center setting off the alarm. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 33-year-old Roger J. Hanson of Nautilus Drive in Waretown, NJ, for Trespassing. In addition, he was found to have an outstanding Atlantic City Municipal Court warrant with a bail amount of $500. Department News – Lacey Township Police Department – Public Notice – Motor Vehicle Burglaries – January 21, 2019
*** Public Notice - Motor Vehicle Burglaries *** The Lacey Township Police Department is requesting our community's assistance to help solve several motor vehicle burglaries. This past weekend (primarily the early morning hours of January 19, 2019, between midnight and 6:00 a.m.) the Lacey Township Police Department responded to several motor vehicle burglaries in the area of Lake Barnegat Drive North, Emerald Court, and Hilltop Drive, all in the Lanoka Harbor section of the Township. All of the vehicles that were entered were left unlocked, and either parked in the driveway or on the street. Residents with surveillance cameras/Ring Door Bells (video camera) are being asked to check their recordings for suspicious persons/activity in the area of the vehicle burglaries. Anyone who might have information is asked to contact Lacey Police Detective Keith Pearce at 609-693-6636 ext. 2561. Please always remember to lock your vehicles and remove any valuables. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – November 15th through November 22nd, 2016
Residential Structure Fire - On Friday, November 25, 2016, at 12:09 a.m., Officers Christopher Meyler, Anthony Sarno, and Julie Barcalow responded to the 1800 block of Serpentine Drive in Forked River, after receiving a call from a security company advising of a smoke alarm activation at the residence. The alarm notification was followed by a second call from a neighbor reporting heavy smoke coming from the residence. Upon Officer Meyler's arrival, he observed a large concentration of flames coming from the rear of the ranch-style home. Officer Meyler located two adult female occupants (visitors from Massachusetts), who advised that they were able to exit from the fire, however, the 81-year-old female homeowner was still inside. Officer Meyler soon discovered the woman was trapped inside the attached garage. Officer Meyler broke an exterior garage window and entered inside in an attempt to reach the homeowner. Officers Julie Barcalow, Anthony Sarno, and Scott Keefe arrived on scene to assist. Officer Sarno entered the garage, along with two Forked River Volunteer Firemen, Rob Anderson and Ed Barker, Jr. The four of them were able to successfully transfer the woman homeowner outside through the garage window. Burglary and Theft (Shed) – On Monday, November 14, 2016, at 5:28 p.m., Officer George Resetar responded to the 200 block of Oak Lane in Forked River for a report of theft. The victim reported that between 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 and 4:45 p.m. on November 14, 2016, an unknown person or persons entered his shed and stole a 20 inch Stihl 036 Model chainsaw valued at $500. There were no signs of forced. Fraud - On Monday, November 14, 2016, at 4:31 p.m., Officer George Resetar responded to police headquarters for fraud report. The victim reported that she had been alerted that an unknown person or persons had accessed her TD Bank checking account and had made several purchases which included several Uber purchases and airline tickets. The victim reported that she had notified the TD Bank Fraud Department of the fraud and they are investigating the matter. The total amount of fraudulent purchases is estimated at $2600. Drug Arrest - On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 3:40 a.m., Officer Christopher Meyler conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Applebee's located at 404 Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 24-year-old Krystena Runkle, of Bowline Street in Beachwood, NJ, for Possession of CDS. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Krystena Runkle was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of 50 Grams or Less of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, she received traffic summonses for Driving with a Suspended License, Suspended Registration, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. The vehicle she was operating was impounded. Drug Arrest – On Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 10:20 p.m., Special Officer Robert Campolei was on patrol when he observed an occupied vehicle parked in the parking lot of Deerhead Lake. Upon speaking with the driver, 19-year-old Sean M. Flynn of Spray Drive in Beachwood, NJ, Special Officer Campolei detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle.
