The above photo depicts Lacey Township Police Chief Michael C. DiBella receiving a defibrillator donated by the Lacey Elks on the evening of Saturday, December 7th, 2019. The above photo was taken at the Lacey Elks Lodge located at 900 Beach Boulevard in Forked River.
On the evening of Saturday, December 7th, 2019, the Lacey Elks made a generous donation to the Lacey Township Police Department during their annual members’ appreciation party. The police department was provided with a new defibrillator. In addition to the Lacey Township Police Department, representatives from the Forked River Fire Company, Lanoka Harbor Fire Company, Bamber Lakes Fire Department, Lacey EMS, Lanoka EMS, Lacey Township Underwater Rescue and Recovery (Dive Team), and the Waretown First Aid were also present and received donations from the Lacey Elks. Furthermore, a donation was made to the Waretown Fire Company.
The Lacey Township Police Department responds to over 2000 First Aid Calls per year. Each Lacey Township Police officer is trained in CPR and is assigned a defibrillator during their shift. Defibrillators save lives and are an asset to the police department.
I would like to thank the members of the Lacey Elks for their continued support to the Police Department and our Local Emergency Services. Their support and dedication is truly appreciated by all of us.
Thank you.
-Chief Michael C. DiBella
