Route 9 Closure/ July 3, 2021

Due to an early morning traffic accident, a portion of Route 9 is closed in Lanoka Harbor.  The accident occurred at the intersection of Route 9 and First Street causing significant damage to a utility pole.  JCP&L is expecting the road to be closed for a major portion of the day while repairs are made. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – June 24 through July 1, 2021

MVA- On Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 4:33 p.m., officers responded to the area of Lacey Road and Penn Avenue for a two-car MVA with injuries.  The investigation revealed that the 59 year-old male driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado fell asleep and collided with another vehicle.  The second vehicle, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, was being operated by a Lacey Township man.  One driver was transported to a trauma center for injuries. Traffic Delays Expected/ Tuesday, November 3, 2020

In connection with a large funeral procession, traffic delays are expected on Route 9 North between 11:00 am and 1:00 p.m.  Although police will be assisting with traffic, the largest delays will occur on Route 9 between Bay Way and Haines Street.  Drivers are urged to find alternate routes to progress their travels.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – October 22nd through October 29th, 2020

      Theft- On Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 12:14 p.m., Officer Michael Hutman was dispatched to a Buena Vista Road home for a reported theft.  The homeowner stated that he recently had cash stolen from two separate locations, his home and vehicle.  The theft is estimated at $1,670.  No forced entry was observed at either location.
