Burglary of Residence - On Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 11 p.m., Officer John McKee responded to a residence located on the 600 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River concerning a burglary of a residence. The resident reported leaving that the home was unoccupied for approximately six hours. Upon returning home, she discovered that the residence was forcibly entered. Items stolen from the residence included: Apple iPad 2 (value $800) and an Xbox Controller (value $25).

Burglary & Theft (Car) - A resident of Elwood Street in Forked River reported that sometime between 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2013 and 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013, an unknown subject entered her vehicle and stole two bags. The vehicle was unsecured and parked in the street in front of the residence on Elwood Street at the time of the theft.  One bag was described as black & white and contained school papers (approximate value $35). The second bag was a [...]

A resident of Oxgoose Drive in Lanoka Harbor reported that some time between 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, and 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, an unknown person or persons entered his vehicle and stole loose change and a portable GPS unit. The vehicle had been parked unsecured in the driveway of the residence during the period in question. Approximately $30 was stolen along with a Garmin GPS unit from the glove compartment. The GPS unit is valued at $700.  

Burglary & Theft (Car) - On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 1:35 a.m., a resident of the 300 block of Lawrence Drive in Lanoka Harbor reported observing a male subject inside his neighbor's car. The caller reported that he initially observed a late teen to young adult male crouched down behind garbage cans that were curbside in front of his neighbor's house. A few seconds later, he observed the same male inside the passenger compartment of his neighbor's vehicle. Burglary and Theft (Car) -  On May 23, 2013, at 12:17 a.m. (just after midnight), an unknown subject entered an unsecured vehicle parked on the side of the 7-11 store on Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor.  Cash in the amount of $50.00 and sunglasses valued at $130.00 were stolen. Although uniformed patrol officers have made three arrests of young adults for this type of offense within the past week, it is evident others are continuing to enter vehicles to commit thefts. Burglary & Theft (Car) - On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 3 p.m., a resident of Whitcomb Road in Forked River reported that her vehicle was entered and her purse containing her jewelry, wallet, cash, and credit cards was stolen. The theft either occurred on Whitcomb Road during the overnight hours into Tuesday, May 21, 2013 or thereafter during the day within the Mill Pond School parking lot. The total estimated theft is $400.
