Burglary of a Residence - A homeowner of a residence on the 800 block of Oxgoose Drive in Lanoka Harbor reported that the residence has been empty since June of 2013. The home is undergoing renovations due to Hurricane Sandy and was empty with no sheetrock on the walls. The owner checked on the residence and discovered the rear entry door had been pried open and someone removed all of the newly installed wiring, copper plumbing, and fixtures from inside. The resident reported the damage at an estimated $70,000.

Burglary & Theft from a Vehicle -  On Monday, September 9, 2013, two residents of the 400 block of Sinclair Avenue in Lanoka Harbor reported that an unknown person or persons entered their unlocked vehicles which were parked in their driveway sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 and 7:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2013. Loose change along with a  purse were stolen; the purse is a Dolce & Gabbana replica which was reported as black and gray in color. Damage to Vehicles - During the overnight hours of Sunday, September 8, 2013, into Monday, September 9, 2013, between midnight and 2 a.m., unknown subjects caused damage to more than sixteen vehicles parked on streets in Forked River and Lanoka Harbor. The suspects are in a vehicle and are using a blunt object to cause the damage. No description is available at this time. Criminal Mischief - At approximately 4:45 a.m., on Saturday, September 7, 2013, unknown actors damaged several vehicles in the Oakfield section of Lanoka Harbor. A resident reported hearing glass breaking near his parked vehicle, then observed an unknown vehicle drive away, followed by the sound of more glass breaking. A search of the area by patrol officers uncovered eight vehicles in the area with damage. All of the damaged vehicles were parked in the roadway at the time of the incident. All [...]

Theft - On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at approximately 6:00 p.m., an unknown person or persons stole a tire and a rim that were located in the driveway of a Williams Avenue residence in Forked River. The homeowner reported that he had just removed the tire from the vehicle only minutes prior, when he came back to find that the tire and rim had been stolen. The victim reported observing a white pickup truck in the area just prior to the theft but [...]

Suspicious Incident - On Monday, September 2, 2013, at 9:00 p.m. a resident of Arborridge Drive in Forked River (Sea Breeze Development) reported that upon arriving home, he observed an unknown man wearing a black tee-shirt (no further description available) standing next to his home. The man reportedly fled the area on foot when he saw the vehicle pull into the driveway. The area was checked by officers after receiving the call. Officers did not located the unknown subject and nothing appeared disturbed in the area.

UPDATE: During the early morning hours of Saturday, August 31, 2013, Officer Dimitri Tsarnas was serving as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) at a DUI checkpoint in Brick Township when he received notification that a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a series of thefts in Lacey Township was stopped by OCPO and Brick Township officials at the checkpoint. Theft - On the evening of Thursday, August 29, 2013, a resident of Taylor Lane in Forked River (Southern Pines Section) reported the theft of an air conditioning unit. The theft occurred from the rear yard of the residence sometime between Wednesday, August 28, 2013 and the evening hours of Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Theft - On Wednesday, August 28, 2013, between the hours of 4:18 a.m. and 5:10 a.m, an air conditioning condenser unit was stolen from the rear of the Lacey Moose Lodge at 305 Route 9 North in Forked River.
