  On Friday, December 7, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Lacey Township Police Department was advised of an online video recording containing the death of a Raccoon in Lacey Township. The Lacey Township Police Department, in conjunction with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office and the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife are currently conducting an investigation into the matter. Press Release – December 7, 2018 – Fatal Pedestrian / Motor Vehicle Accident

On Friday, December 7, 2018, at approximately 1853 hours, officers from the Lacey Township Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Haines Street near the intersection of Oak Hill Court. Preliminary investigation revealed that an elderly female pedestrian walked into the east bound lane of Haines Street in front of a vehicle traveling east.
