Day 10: Elf. Officer Justice has completed his shift today and is assisting with refueling the patrol vehicle. The gas pumps are often a rewarding sight for patrol officers. As officers refuel periodically during their shifts, refueling our vehicles typically comes at the end of the shift, which is a little over 11 hours.
Day 9: As we pride ourselves on the history of the Lacey Township Police Department, and the fine officers who have come before us, Elf Officer Justice paid his respects to those officers who are no longer with us. Two of those officers are: Identification Officer James E. Stockton Jr.,#18, and Officer William A. Trainor #32. Day 8: Today, Elf Officer Justice visited our Police Department Records Bureau. The Records Bureau, and our clerical staff, are an essential part toward the daily operations of our police department, especially in regards to distributing reports and public information. Justice enjoyed his time with our Clerical Staff today, and his first use of a copy machine.

Day 7: Today, Elf Officer Justice conducted traffic posts, which included speed control and radar operation. Traffic posts are an essential part of a patrol officer’s daily obligations, which are conducted in an effort to reduce the number motor vehicle crashes. Day 6: This evening marks Elf Officer Justice’s first night shift on patrol. During the overnight hours, Elf Off. Justice will assist our patrol officers in conducting parks and business checks, in addition to fielding the many calls for service that continue throughout the shift. Day 5: Elf Officer Justice checked in on our police dispatchers (Public Safety Telecommunicators) today, as communications is one of the most important aspects of any law enforcement agency. Dispatching often requires very good communication and multi-tasking skills. Our dispatchers are often multi-tasking between answering emergent, and non-emergent phones calls, while at the same time communicating over the police radio with officers on patrol. Day 4: One of the most important aspects of a Lacey Township Police Officer’s day is ensuring the safety and well being of both students and staff, within the Lacey Township School District. Once again, we are urging our residents not to provide personal information over the phone or agree to purchase gift cards to alleviate debt. Criminals are constantly seeking new ways to convince victims, over the phone or Internet, to provide them with cash and information. Day 3: Before Elf Off. Justice begins his patrol of Lacey Township, he must be equipped with the proper tools. Elf. Off. Justice visited our Department of Public Works Garage, where his newly assigned patrol vehicle was inspected and tuned up by our mechanics.
