A resident of Oxgoose Drive in Lanoka Harbor reported that some time between 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, and 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, an unknown person or persons entered his vehicle and stole loose change and a portable GPS unit. The vehicle had been parked unsecured in the driveway of the residence during the period in question. Approximately $30 was stolen along with a Garmin GPS unit from the glove compartment. The GPS unit is valued at $700.  

Burglary & Theft (Car) - On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 1:35 a.m., a resident of the 300 block of Lawrence Drive in Lanoka Harbor reported observing a male subject inside his neighbor's car. Burglary and Theft (Car) -  On May 23, 2013, at 12:17 a.m. (just after midnight), an unknown subject entered an unsecured vehicle parked on the side of the 7-11 store on Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor.  Cash in the amount of $50.00 and sunglasses valued at $130.00 were stolen. Although uniformed patrol officers have made three arrests of young adults for this type of offense within the past week, it is evident others are continuing to enter vehicles to commit thefts. Burglary & Theft (Car) - On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 3 p.m., a resident of Whitcomb Road in Forked River reported that her vehicle was entered and her purse containing her jewelry, wallet, cash, and credit cards was stolen. The theft either occurred on Whitcomb Road during the overnight hours into Tuesday, May 21, 2013 or thereafter during the day within the Mill Pond School parking lot. The total estimated theft is $400.
