NEWS RELEASE • Bank Robbery, Kearny Federal Savings, Lacey Twp., NJ:
On Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at approximately 14:33, Lacey Township Police Officers responded to the Kearny Federal Savings, located at 630 Route 9 North, Lanoka Harbor, NJ (Lacey Township) for a reported robbery. Investigation revealed that a male, described by the bank tellers as being 5’8”, with a thin build, wearing dark-colored clothing and a bandana covering his face, entered the bank and approached the tellers demanding cash. No weapon was brandished. After leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect headed through a wooded area adjacent to the bank. No vehicle was observed.
