Christmas Parade  - On Sunday, December 1, 2019, at approximately 2:45 p.m., a section of Lacey Road will be closed to traffic.  The Christmas Parade will begin at 3:00 p.m. from just west of the Forked River Elementary School, 110 Lacey Road, and continue west to the Lacey Township Municipal Building, 818 W. However, Motorists Are Still Asked To Avoid The Area If Possible Traffic Detour Alert – Following a serious motor vehicle accident, Lacey Road was temporarily closed in the area of the Garden State Parkway. Press Release – December 7, 2018 – Fatal Pedestrian / Motor Vehicle Accident

On Friday, December 7, 2018, at approximately 1853 hours, officers from the Lacey Township Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Haines Street near the intersection of Oak Hill Court. Preliminary investigation revealed that an elderly female pedestrian walked into the east bound lane of Haines Street in front of a vehicle traveling east. As a result of the crash, the female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at Community Medical Center. [...]

On the morning of Sunday, October 21, 2018, at approximately 01:10 hours Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the 400 Block of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Forked River, for a report of a pedestrian struck. Upon arrival he met with the victims a 26 year old male and a 23 year old female, both Township residents.
