Traffic Delays – Lacey Road & Rt. 9, Forked River – Road Construction

Route 9 & Lacey Road Intersection (July 10, 2013) - The primary construction work is now beginning on the Lacey Road & Route 9 intersection improvement project. Motorist can expect delays at different times throughout both the day and night due to the ongoing construction. Motorists are asked to use caution while traveling through the area, as there will be shoulder closures as well as lane shifts at varying times.

Neighborhood Crime Alert – Saturday, July 6, 2013 – E. Hickory Drive Area, Lanoka Harbor

Criminal Mischief - On late Friday night, July 5, 2013 into the early morning hours of Saturday, July 6, 2013, unidentified teenagers purposely destroyed residential property along East Hickory Drive, Bowsprit Point, and Pine Street in Lanoka Harbor. Community Event (Fireworks) – Wednesday, July 3, 2013 – Lacey Township High School

The Lacey Township fireworks display is scheduled for tonight, Wednesday, July 3rd, at dusk on the grounds of the Lacey Township High School. Entertainment will begin on site at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks will begin thereafter at dusk (approx. 9 pm). The Lacey Township Police Department, fire departments, and first aid squads will be working to maintain a safe event and to facilitate traffic before, during, and after the event.

Neighborhood Crime Alert – Monday, July 1, 2013 – Beach Boulevard, Forked River

Theft - On Monday, July 1, 2013, a homeowner from the 1500 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River reported that an unknown person or persons stole his central air conditioning condenser unit from outside his home sometime between Friday, June 28, 2013 and Monday, July 1, 2013. The repair and replacement cost is estimated at $1,500.

Theft from Residence - On Saturday, June 29, 2013, a resident on the 200 block of Hemlock Lane in Forked River reported that someone entered the basement of his home and stole a Ryobi table saw and a Dewalt Skilz saw from a storage room in the basement. Fraudulent Phone Call - A resident of the Pheasant Run section of Lacey Township reported receiving a telephone call from a person with a heavy Middle Eastern accent. The caller stated that he worked for Microsoft and needed to access the resident's computer to make repairs.
