Christmas Parade (Traffic Alert) - At 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013, a portion of Lacey Road will be closed to traffic, as the 2013 Christmas Parade will be progressing from just west of the Forked River Elementary School up to the Lacey Township Municipal Building. Drug Distribution Arrests - On the evening of Tuesday, November 26, 2013, while conducting a surveillance which led to a parking lot in Berkeley Township, Lacey Township Police Department detectives witnessed a Lacey Township resident conduct a suspicious meeting with a second male subject. UPDATE: Lacey Township experienced a power outage throughout the township this morning (Sunday, November 24, 2013). All of the traffic lights throughout the township were out, and as a result, residents were temporarily asked stay off the roadways for safety reasons. The power was quickly restored to most of the township by 8:28 a.m. with only the traffic light at Haines Street and Manchester Avenue in Lanoka Harbor still being out. Continuing Investigation - At 2:30 a.m., on Friday, November 22, 2013, Patrol Officer Evan Androcy of the Lacey Township Police Department was patrolling the Laurel Boulevard area in Lanoka Harbor when he observed 19-year-old Cody Diaz of Bayville near a vehicle on Sycamore Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Cody Diaz of 149 Harlequin Glade in Bayville attempted to hide but was quickly located by Officer Androcy.
