Drug  Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Arrest) - At 2:05 a.m., Saturday morning, January 11, 2014, Patrol Officer Michael Verwey stopped a 2008 Nissan Altima for speeding and failure to maintain a lane on Route 9 near Game Farm Road in Forked River. While speaking with the driver, 35-year-old Dametrious R. Summers, Officer Verwey detected the distinct odor of marijuana. Original Message (8 a.m.) - Traffic/Weather Alert - The current roadway conditions are extremely dangerous and quickly becoming worse. The roadways are impossible to drive safely upon at this time. All roadways are ice covered. The public is asked to not drive at this time until the temperature warms to well above freezing. -Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Burglary and Theft (Residence) - A homeowner from Taylor Lane in Forked River reported that he left his residence between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014, and upon returning home, he discovered that the residence had been entered and items were stolen from within.  There were no signs of forced entry.
