Burglary Arrest – On Thursday, February 14, 2013, Detective Brian Flynn and Detective Robert Surtees of the Lacey Township Police Department arrested 25 year old, Forked River resident Christopher Jones and charged him with Burglary and Theft. The charges relate to the Sunday, February 10, 2013, burglary of an Annapolis Lane, Forked River, residence during which over $1,300 in jewelry and other items were stolen. The burglary involved prying a bathroom window open, then gaining entry into the home during a brief period the residents were not home. Detectives utilized forensic evidence collected at the scene along with other evidence to identify Christopher Jones. Mr. Jones was arrested Thursday morning as he slept within his vehicle in the driveway of his Forked River home. After being processed at police headquarters, he was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of $25,000 cash bail.
