  • DUI (Arrest) – On Monday, August 17, 2015, at 7:58 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins conducted a traffic stop on F Street in Forked River. Officer Michael Verwey responded to assist. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 54-year-old Laurie Gerisch of Warren Town Road in Toms River, NJ, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Monday, August 17, 2015, at 11:30 a.m., Lieutenant Michael DiBella conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 25-year-old Klint Neiman of Reading, Pennsylvania, for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Careless Driving, CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Truck Route Violation, Expired Registration, and Driving with a Suspended License.

  • Accident with Serious Injury – On Sunday, August 16, 2015, at 2:46 p.m., Officers Noah Schafer and Frederick Anderson responded to the 1800 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River for a skateboard accident. The 29-year-old victim, Dean Dalconzo from Forked River, suffered a head injury as a result of falling off his skateboard. He was transported by Helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Friday, August 14, 2015, at 10:00 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 24-year-old Troy R. Culmone, Jr. of Shenandoah Road in Howell, NJ on two outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500 and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Point Pleasant Municipal Court in the amount of $150. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Troy Culmone posted bail and was released. In addition, he received a traffic summons for Operating with a Suspended License and Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration. The vehicle Troy Culmone was operating was impounded.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Friday, August 14, 2015, at 12:57 a.m., Officers Adam Ewart and Robert Duffy responded to Yorktown Drive in Forked River for a Suspicious Vehicle. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old Douglas Jensen, Jr. of East Arverne Avenue in Ocean Gate, NJ, for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Marijuana.

  • Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Friday, August 14, 2015, at 1:51 a.m., Sergeant Ronald Buxton was in the parking lot of Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River, when he observed a shoplifting incident. Sergeant Buxton observed the accused, identified as 24-year-old Daniel Dabal, Jr. of Admiral Road in Forked River, conceal merchandise on his person while inside the store. Daniel Dabal, Jr. was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Shoplifting.

  • Burglary and Theft from Auto (Arrests) – On Friday, August 14, 2015, at 3:25 a.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to the 400 block of Devon Street in Forked River for a possible theft from a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer Copes located two adult males on Devon Street near Vaughn Avenue in Forked River. Both subjects were wearing gloves and carrying flashlights. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 28-year-old Brandon Pascarella of Mallard Road in Bayville, NJ and 28-year-old Raymondja A. Miller of Applegate Avenue in South Toms River for burglary and theft from a motor vehicle. They were transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with vehicle burglary, possession of burglar’s tools, and theft. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 for each arrestee. They were both lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. The subjects were found to be in possession of other items and a continuing investigation resulted in an additional charge of Burglary and Theft that occurred on Tappan Street in Forked River during the same time. They each received an additional $10,000 bail on the additional charges.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Friday, August 14, 2015, at 1:56 p.m., Officer Kymberly Gudgeon took a report from a deacon at the Forked River Presbyterian Church, located at 131 North Main Street. The deacon reported that between 6:30 p.m. on August 7, 2015 and 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2015 someone damaged the metal base of the cross located in the parking lot area behind the church and adjacent to Game Farm Road. The estimated replacement value of the metal base is $100.

  • Trespassing and Drug Possession – On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 5:41 p.m., Officer Brian Holt and Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the 1700 Block of Sommerell Avenue in reference to juveniles trespassing. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Matthew Lombard of Brookdale Park Drive for trespassing, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Two 14-year-old males and one 15-year-old male were also taken into custody for trespassing. Matthew Lombard was charged with trespassing, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The juveniles were turned over to the custody of their parents.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 11:54 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey was on patrol when he observed a vehicle parked in the roadway with the driver side door fully open and no one around the vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old Jason Kroessig of 11 Blue Jay Avenue in Bayville, NJ for underage consumption of alcohol, possession of Marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jason Kroessig was transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Underage Consumption of Alcohol, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.

  • Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 1:03 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to Walmart, 580 Rt. 9 N., Lanoka Harbor, for a report of a shoplifting. Loss Prevention Employees detained 30-year-old Blakely T. Barber of 2763 Willedee Drive N in Semmes, Alabama, for shoplifting. Blakely Barber was placed under arrest and transported to Lacey Township Police Headquarters. Blakely Barber was processed and charged with Shoplifting.

  • Drug Possession, Shoplifting, and Warrant Arrest – On Monday, August 10, 2015, at 6:31 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella was dispatched to the area of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifting incident. Walmart Loss Prevention reported that the female shoplifter had fled the store in a vehicle. A description of the female shoplifter and her vehicle were provided. While responding to Walmart, Officer Ricciardella observed the suspect vehicle traveling on Manchester Avenue in Forked River and conducted a traffic stop. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 24-year-old Sheri A. Healey of North Maple Avenue in Tuckerton, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $79. In addition, she was found to be in Possession of Heroin. Additionally a warrant, issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for $2,500 was also located for her arrest. Sheri Healey was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was charged on a complaint warrant with Shoplifting, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bail was set in the amount of $10,000. Sheri Healey was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Monday, August 10, 2015, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Officer John McKee conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 26-year-old Erin Murphy of Bay Boulevard in Bayville, NJ, on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued by the Beachwood Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Erin Murphy was released after posting bail. In addition she received traffic summonses for Driving with a Suspended license and Driving with an Expired License.

  • Criminal Mischief (County Property) – On Monday, August 10, 2015, at 9:06 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to Eno’s Park located at 330 East Lacey Road in Forked River for a criminal mischief report. The complainant reported that between 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on August 10, 2015, an unknown person or persons spray-painted the exterior and interior of the bathrooms. The cost of repairs is estimated at $500.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 4:24 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 North and South Street in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 27-year-old Sarah M. Monahan of Dolphin Circle East in Bayville, NJ, on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued by the Neptune Township Municipal Court in the amount of $89. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Sarah Monahan was released after posting bail.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Sunday, August 9, 2015, Officer Charles May was assigned to a Special Traffic Enforcement Detail on Route 539 in Forked River. At 5:20 p.m., Officer May conducted a traffic stop on Route 539 near mile marker 16. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 42-year-old Brian Lescrinier of Bluejacket Avenue in Manahawkin, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Brian Lescrinier was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Failure to Wear Seatbelt, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 1:54 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the 300 block of Briggs Avenue North in Forked River for a criminal mischief report. The victim reported that between the overnight hours of Friday, August 7, 2015, into Saturday, August 8, 2015, an unknown person or persons keyed her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of her residence. The damage is estimated at $275. The name of a suspect was provided and the incident is under investigation.

  • Theft – On Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 7:11 a.m., Officer Jeffrey Slota responded to the 1200 block of Clearview Street in Forked River for a theft report. The complainant reported that between 8:45 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole his son’s brown Diamondback BMX bicycle valued at $60.00 from the front of his residence.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 12:43 a.m., Officer Elton Copes conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South and Taylor Lane in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 32-year-old Joseph Dunnkosky of Inlet Avenue in Manahawkin, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Joseph Dunnkosky was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Theft (Boat) – On Friday, August 7, 2015, at 2:04 p.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the Township Docks located at 5000 Lakeside Drive South in Forked River for a theft report. The victim reported that within the prior two weeks, an unknown person or persons stole his anchor, valued at $100, from his boat.

  • Criminal Mischief (Township Property) – On Friday, August 7, 2015, at 10:17 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the Trestle, located at 5000 Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor, for damage to Township Property. The complainant reported that during the overnight hours of Thursday, August 6, 2015, into Friday, August 7, 2015, an unknown person or persons spray-painted two “No Trespassing” signs owned by the Township of Lacey. Repairs were conducted immediately at an estimated cost of $150.00.

  • Theft – On Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 4:32 p.m., Special Officer Edgar Lenkauskus responded to Huffy Wallis Park, located at 1740 Parkside Drive in Forked River for a theft. The complainant reported that between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., an unknown person or persons stole an orange beach cruiser bicycle valued at $150 from within the park. The bicycle was unsecured at the time of the theft.

  • Theft – On Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 10:32 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 300 block of Constitution Drive in Forked River for a theft report. The victim reported that between 10:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, and 5:30 a.m., on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole her pink and yellow Huffy beach cruiser bicycle valued at $150. The bicycle was stolen from the front yard of the residence.

  • Criminal Mischief (Residence) – On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at 11:14 a.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the 2100 block of Llewellyn Parkway in Forked River for a criminal mischief report. The victim reported that between 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015, and 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, an unknown person or persons detonated fireworks inside her mailbox causing $50 in damage.

  • Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary and Criminal Mischief – On Monday, August 3, 2015, at 6:46 a.m., Officer Darrell Nick responded to the Lacey Diner, located at 530 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report that during the overnight hours, an unknown person attempted to force entry into the rear of the building by attempting to pry open the rear door of the diner. The door was not forced open and entry was not gained. The damage to the door is valued at $500. The suspect is described as a white male in his late thirties or early forties, approximately 5 foot 8 inches tall, with a thin build, and dark bushy hair. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a light-colored, button down shirt with dark stripes on it, and carrying a yellow backpack. He was also in possession of a dark-colored mountain bike with a large style seat.   • Burglary and Criminal Mischief – On Sunday, August 2, 2015, at 2:11 a.m., Officers Anthony Sarno and Patrick Watkins responded to the Lanoka Farms located at 615 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a burglary. The owner reported that just prior to contacting this agency, he and another employee arrived at Lanoka Farms to make a delivery and observed a male subject with a bicycle inside the foyer area of the business. The male subject observed him and fled the business running north toward Laurel Boulevard. Officers responded and checked the area for the suspect with negative results. An investigation at the scene revealed the lock on the front door of the business was broken and entry was gained. Damage is estimated at $50. Nothing was believed to have been stolen. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 foot 1 inch tall with a blond or gray ponytail hair style.   • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Monday, August 3, 2015, at 4:48 p.m., Officer Brian Holt conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Town Square located at 1 Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 34-year-old Ignacio Velasquez of Adolphus Street in Forked River, for possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

  • Shoplifting – On Monday, August 3, 2015, at 4:24 p.m., Officers Daniel Ricciardella and Christopher Meyler responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for two female juvenile shoplifters. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a 15-year-old female from Barnegat, NJ, and a 15-year-old female from Forked River for shoplifting merchandise valued at approximately $150. The females were transported to police headquarters and processed. Each was charged on a juvenile complaint with shoplifting.

  • Theft of Property Lost or Mislaid by Mistake – On Monday, August 3, 2015, at 1:49 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 1, 2015, she accidentally left her black iPhone 6 cellular phone and cellular phone case containing her driver’s license and credit cards, in the woman’s bathroom of the Wawa, located at 701 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. When the victim realized she left her phone behind, she returned to Wawa, checked the bathroom, and attempted to locate it. The wallet was missing from the bathroom and was not turned in to any of the employees. The value of the property is estimated at $650.

  • Theft  – On Sunday, August 2, 2015, at 8:44 a.m., Officer Keith Pearce responded to the 1000 block of Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor for a theft. The complainant reported that between 3:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole her paddle board from the backyard of her residence. The residence has a bulkhead that has direct access to the Barnegat Bay. There were drag marks from the paddle board that led from her backyard to the water. The paddle board is valued at $800.

  • Theft from an Auto – On Saturday, August 1, 2015, at 5:39 a.m., Officer Keith Pearce responded to the 1700 block of Sommerell Avenue in Forked River for a theft report. The victim reported that during the overnight hours of Saturday, August 1, 2015, an unknown person or persons entered her vehicle and stole her Garmin Nuvi GPS valued at $150. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the street at the time of the theft.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Friday, July 31, 2015, at 7:42 p.m., Officers Robert Duffy and Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the 200 block of Lakeside Drive in Forked River for a report of an unwanted guest. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 46-year-old William Karns of Lakeside Drive in Forked River on an outstanding Mount Holly Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $750. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. William Karns was released ROR by Mount Holly Municipal Court.

  • Theft – On Friday, July 31, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., Officer Andrew Slota responded to the 1400 block of Leguene Avenue in Forked River for a theft report. The complainant reported that between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on July 31, 2105, an unknown person or persons entered her fenced in backyard and stole her garden shears, rakes, and Ryobi weed-whacker with a total value of $300.

  • Drug Possession and Warrant (Arrest) – On Thursday, July 30, 2015, at 11:26 p.m., Officer Charles May conducted a traffic stop on Lacey Road. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of a passenger, identified as 19-year-old Melody Smyers of Constitution Drive in Forked River, on two (2) outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Lacey Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500; and warrant number two (2), a no-bail warrant, was issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. Melody Smyers was found to be in possession of Heroin. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000. Melody Smyers was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

  • Theft – On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 6:13 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to Spring Oak Assisted Living, located at 601 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a theft report. The complainant reported that between May 9, 2015 and July 29, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole a bracelet valued at $1,400 from one of the residents. The incident is under investigation.

  • Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 2:35 p.m., Officer Kimberly Gudgeon responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Alyssa Ortiz of Longwood Drive in Forked River for shoplifting merchandise valued at $56. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Shoplifting.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 12:57 p.m., Officer Michael Hein and Special Officer Stephen DeRosa responded to Lacey Road and Newark Avenue in Forked River for a traffic accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of one of the drivers, identified as 37-year-old Linette Romeo of Circle Drive in Forked River, on two outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrants. Warrant number one was in the amount of $500; and warrant number two (2) was for $250.00. Linette Romeo was transported to police headquarters and processed. Full bail was posted and she was released.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11:37 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of 711 Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 50-year-old James Connors of East Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor, for an outstanding Ocean County Sheriff’s Office warrant in the amount of $1,986. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 9:34 p.m., Sergeant Ronald Buxton, along with Officers Adam Ewart and Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the Kennis Walk walking path that leads from Maxim Drive to the Lacey Middle School for a report of two males yelling. Upon arrival, officers located one male and identified him as 27-year-old Eric D. Jablonski of Geneva Road in Lakehurst, NJ. An investigation revealed that he had an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $500. Eric Jablonski was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. The second male was not located.

  • Burglary of Residence (Arrest) – On Friday, July 24, 2015, 20-year-old Jeffrey Burgoyne of 803 Sinclair Avenue in Lanoka Harbor was arrested by Lacey Detectives and charged with Burglary 2C:18-2a(1) of a Drew Avenue home. On Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 2:22 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the 700 block of Drew Avenue in Lanoka Harbor for a report of a burglary. The victim reported that earlier on July 18, 2015, at 7:11 a.m., he was home when a male subject rang his doorbell. After a short period of not answering the door, the male subject attempted to open the front door by turning the doorknob; however, the door was locked. The complainant opened the front door and observed the male suspect exiting from his garage which was previously closed. The male suspect then ran from the scene. Video surveillance footage from the victim’s residence provided images of the suspect as a white male wearing a black t-shirt and green camouflage pants. The video confirmed that the suspect opened the unlocked garage door and entered the garage.  The suspect then fled the scene when he was confronted by the homeowner/victim. Additional video surveillance footage from another residence in the area also revealed useful information which led to the identification of the suspect. Lacey detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence of Jeffrey Burgoyne (803 Sinclair Avenue, Lanoka Harbor), and the search warrant was executed on Friday, July 24, 2015. Jeffrey Burgoyne was arrested by Lacey Detectives and charged with Burglary 2C:18-2a(1) of the Drew Avenue home. His bail was set at $15,000. He was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of the bail. Other home burglaries, including a July 19, 2015, burglary of a Hazelton Avenue home (as well as others in the area) remain under investigation, as additional charges are pending further investigation. Anyone with information which may assist detectives in the continuing investigation is asked to call the Lacey Township Police Department at 609-693-6636 or submit an anonymous crime tip at www.LaceyPD.org/crime-tips/.

  • Burglary and Theft (Arrest) – An investigation into two separate incidents of burglary and theft from a Spruce Street residence in Lanoka Harbor led to the arrest of 29-year-old Ryan P. Lee (Last known address – Spruce Road in Lanoka Harbor) for two counts of burglary and theft. On Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 7:07 p.m., Officer Adam Ewart responded to the 700 block of Spruce Road in Lanoka Harbor for a theft. The victim reported that on July 20, 2015, his residence was entered and a lockbox containing cash and jewelry valued at $800 was stolen. In addition, on July 23, 2015 (three days later), a 52-inch flat screen TV valued at $1,900 was reportedly stolen. On each separate occasion, there was no sign of forced entry. The name of a suspect was provided by the victim. The investigation led to the arrest of 29-year-old Ryan P. Lee for two counts of burglary and theft. Bail was set in the amount of $50,000. Ryan Lee was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
  • Criminal Mischief – On Monday, July 27, 2015, at 9:44 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe responded to the 200 block of Falkenburg Avenue in Forked River for criminal mischief. The victim reported that between 5:00 p.m. on July 24, 2015, and 4:00 p.m. on July 27, 2015, an unknown person or persons spray-painted a section on her wooden fence and a section of the foundation both located on the east side of her residence. The cost to remove the graffiti is estimated at $100.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Monday, July 27, 2015, at 9:13 p.m., Officers Patrick Watkins and John D. Simonson responded to Kent Drive in Forked River to serve a Toms River Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,000. Upon arrival, the officers met with the accused, 53-year-old Michael Gardner of Channel Road in Toms River, NJ, and placed him under arrest. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Michael Gardner posted full bail and was later released.

  • Shoplifting and Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Monday, July 27, 2015, at 8:12 a.m., Officers Christopher Meyler and Brian Holt responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a female shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 48-year-old Laura Adams of Guadeloupe Drive in Toms River, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $600. In addition, she was found to have several outstanding warrants for her arrest. The warrants are as follows: warrant number one (1) was issued from the Cherry Hill Municipal Court in the amount of $600; warrant number two (2) was issued from the Howell Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,170; warrant number three (3) was issued from the West Long Branch Municipal Court in the amount of $500; warrant number four (4) was issued from the Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $350; warrant number five (5) was issued from the Stafford Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000; warrant number six (6) was issued from the Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500; warrant number seven (7) was issued from the Washington Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500; and warrant number (8) was issued from the Washington Township Municipal Court in the amount of $100. Upon being advised of her arrest, she claimed a medical ailment which resulted in her being transported to Community Medical Center for medical evaluation and clearance prior to later being transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility. Bail was set for the Walmart shoplifting offense in the amount of $5,000. A Lacey Township police officer was required to stand guard of Laura Adams throughout the day at Community Medical Center in Toms River until she was later transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility at 4:00 p.m.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Sunday, July 26, 2015, at 9:02 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno conducted a traffic stop on Nautilus Boulevard near Maple Lane in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 37-year-old Shawna L. Cramer of Yorktown Drive in Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Shawna L. Cramer was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Unregistered Vehicle, and Unlicensed Driver. The motorcycle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Warrant Arrests – On Sunday, July 26, 2015, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Officers Michael Eden and Daniel Ricciardella responded to the parking lot of Retro Fitness, located at 416 Route 9 South in Forked River, to serve an arrest warrant. The accused, identified as 20-year-old Albert C. Reuter of Teakwood Drive in Lanoka Harbor, agreed to meet with the officers at this location. Upon arrival Albert Reuter was placed under arrest on two outstanding warrants without incident. Warrant number one was issued by the Lacey Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000 and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Beach Haven Municipal Court in the amount of $114. Albert Reuter was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

  • Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary and Criminal Mischief – On Sunday, July 26, 2015, at 2:47 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the 800 block of Michelle Court in Lanoka Harbor for a report that someone tried to force entry into the residence. The complainant reported that on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at approximately 12:00 p.m., she was in the residence when she heard a loud bang coming from the area of her garage. The garage was checked and nothing appeared to have been missing. An exterior garage door was found to be slightly dented. A further check reveled what appeared to be a boot mark on the door as if someone attempted to kick it in. Damage to the door is estimated at $50.

  • Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 1:27 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the Lanoka Harbor Marina, located at 888 Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor for damage to a vehicle. The victim reported that between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., that day, an unknown person or persons punched his vehicle while it was parked near his boat slip. The punch caused a dent on the rear passenger corner panel estimated at $250 to repair.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Saturday, July 25, 2015, at 12:23 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 South and Oak Street in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 49-year-old John Giresi of Shore Road in Andover, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. John Giresi was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Friday, July 24, 2015, at 11:55 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 30-year-old Justin Paugh of Maple Avenue in Tuckerton, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at approximately $50. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Justin Paugh was released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Friday, July 24, 2015, at 1:59 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the area of Lacey Road near Municipal Lane in Forked River for a report of a female screaming. Upon arrival the female was located walking in the parking lot of Ocean First Bank, 900 Lacey Road. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the female identified as 28-year-old Jessica L. Gladney of Jeteemale Drive in Manahawkin, NJ, for Possession of Methocarbomal tablets, and prescription Ibprofen, both without a doctor’s prescription. Jessica Gladney was transported to police headquarters and processed. She was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug without a Prescription.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Friday, July 24, 2015, at 1:23 a.m., Officers Charles May and Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the Wawa, located at 701 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a vehicle driving recklessly in the parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 30-year-old Gregory B. Young of Oxford Road in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Gregory Young was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI and Reckless Driving. In addition, he received a summons for Urinating in Public. The vehicle Gregory Young was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to Sheffield Place in Forked River for a criminal mischief complaint. The victim reported that between July 18, 2015 and July 23, 2015, an unknown person or persons shattered the glass top of an outside patio table that was on the rear patio. In addition, three windows on the rear of the residence appear to have possibly been tampered with. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. The damage to the patio table is estimated at $175.

  • Burglary and Theft – On Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 5:12 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 700 block of Birch Road in Lanoka Harbor for a theft. The complainant reported that between 3:30 p.m. on July 22, 2015, and 5:00 p.m. on July 23, 2015, an unknown person or persons entered their garage and stole a blue 1998, Yamaha YZ250 valued at $800. The garage was unlocked at the time of the theft.

  • Drug Possession, Warrant, Obstructing, and Hindering Apprehension (Arrests) – On Thursday, July 23, 2015, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Lacey Detectives Robert Surtees and Alan Abrecht were patrolling the Walmart parking lot, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. While patrolling the parking lot they observed the accused, identified as 24-year-old Ian N. Dziuk of Cable Avenue in Beachwood, NJ, acting suspicious near a motor vehicle. Believing a vehicle burglary just occurred, the detectives stopped the accused and identified themselves as Lacey Police Detectives. Ian Dziuk immediately fled on foot and was chased by detectives. Additional uniformed patrol officers and detectives responded. Ian Dziuk was caught in the rear of Lacey Used Auto, 602 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, by Detective Brian Flynn. He was found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Warrant number one (1) and two (2) were both no-bail warrants issued from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. Warrant number three (3) was issued from the Beachwood Municipal Court in the amount of $500. In addition, a female who was with Ian Dziuk, identified as 20-year-old Jessica Demeo of Radner Avenue in Pine Beach, NJ, was arrested at the scene for Obstructing the Administration of Law, Hindering Apprehension, and Possession of Suboxone. They were both transported to police headquarters and processed. Ian Dziuk was charged on a warrant with Obstructing the Administration of Law with bail set at $25,000. Ian Dziuk was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. Jessica Demeo was released after receiving a criminal summons for Obstructing the Administration of Law, Hindering Apprehension, and Possession of CDS.

  • Theft – On Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 10:18 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between July 18, 2015, and July 23, 2015, several pieces of jewelry with an approximate value of $35,000 were stolen from his residence on the 400 block of Predmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. The victim provided the name of a suspect. The incident is under investigation.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at 8:48 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 300 block of Shady Brook Lane in Forked River for a criminal mischief complaint. The victim reported that between the overnight hours of July 21, 2015, into July 22, 2015, an unknown person or persons smashed the rear window on his vehicle while it was parked at the residence. Damage is estimated at $200.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 9:58 p.m., Officer Adam Ewart conducted a traffic stop on Western Boulevard near Oxford Road in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 29-year-old Nicholas Salvatore of Oxford Road in Lanoka Harbor, on an outstanding North Hanover Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $600. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Nicholas Salvatore was released after receiving an ROR from Hanover Municipal Court.

  • Theft – On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 4:58 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the 600 block of Tappan Street in Forked River for a theft report. The victim reported that between July 14, 2015, and July 21, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole the air conditioning coil from the backyard. The estimated value is $2,000.

  • Theft and Criminal Mischief – On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 4:20 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 100 block of Hemlock Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a theft. The victim reported that between 10:30 p.m. on July 20, 2015, and 6:30 a.m. on July 21, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole his American Flag and solar light from the front yard of his residence. The theft is estimated at $25. In addition his lawn gnome valued at $10 was damaged.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 11:00 p.m., Officers Charles May and Dimitri Tsarnas were dispatched to the Lacey McDonald’s, located at 404 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a report of an intoxicated male subject who was yelling at customers. Upon arrival, Officers were advised that the subject had left the store. A description was provided and officers began checking the area. A short time later, dispatch advised that a male subject fitting the description was creating a disturbance in the parking lot of Kohl’s, located at 240 Route 9 North in Forked River . Officers responded and located the subject. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Eric D. Jablonski of Genova Road in Lakehurst, NJ, on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued by the Seaside Heights Municipal Court in the amount of $300. Eric Jablonski was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean county Correctional Facility in default of bail.

  • Structure Fire – On Monday, July 20, 2015, at 4:18 p.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the 800 block of Tiller Drive in Forked River for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, a large portion of the fire had been extinguished by an off-duty fireman who utilized a garden hose. The Forked River Fire Department responded and extinguished the remainder of the fire. The fire was located mainly on the north side of the residence. The Ocean County Fire Marshal responded and determined the fire to be accidental. The fire appears to have started in a garbage can that was outside on the north side of the residence and spread to the siding on the house.

  • Shoplifting (Arrests) – On Monday, July 20, 2015, at 3:18 p.m., Officers Jason Lee and John Cernek responded to Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for adult male shoplifters in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 29-year-old Matthew Clinton of Devon Street in Forked River and 29-year-old Ryan Lee of Spruce Road in Lanoka Harbor for shoplifting merchandise valued at approximately $30. They were both transported to police headquarters and processed. Both Matthew Clinton and Ryan Lee were charged with Shoplifting.

  • Theft – On Monday, July 20, 2015, at 11:44 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the 1800 block of Ridge Road in Forked River for a stolen bicycle. The complainant reported that between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole a green Mongoose Freestyle BMX bicycle valued at $100 from the front-yard of the residence.

  • Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Monday, July 20, 2015, at 8:12 a.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the 200 block of Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a report of criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between 12:00 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., an unknown person or persons smeared feces all over their vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence at the time and there was no permanent damage.

  • Criminal Mischief (Residence) – On Monday, July 20, 2015, at 4:20 a.m., Officer Patrick Watkins met with a complainant at police headquarters in regard to criminal mischief. The complainant stated that sometime between the evening hours on Sunday, July 19, 2015 and 4:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015, an unknown person or persons damaged his residential mailbox on the 100 block of Cedar Drive in Lanoka Harbor. In addition, a vehicle that was parked at the residence sustained damage. The total damage is estimated at $100.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 11:14 p.m., Sergeant Paul Sullivan, Jr. conducted a traffic stop on Lacey Road near Newark Avenue in Forked River. Officer Anthony Sarno responded to assist. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 60-year-old Joseph T. Riggi of Azalea Drive in Manchester, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Joseph T. Riggi was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, DUI Breath Test Refusal, Reckless Driving, Speeding, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Burglary and Theft (Residence) – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 4:49 p.m., Officer John D. Simonson responded to the 800 block of Hazelton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor for a residential burglary. The victim reported that during the day an unknown person or persons entered the residence and stole cash and jewelry with a total value of approximately $3,000. There were no signs of forced entry. Detective Brian Flynn responded and is handling the investigation.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 2:12 a.m., during a DUI Checkpoint located on Old Shore Road and Route 9 South in Forked River, Officer Brian Holt arrested 24-year-old Daniel Woods, Jr. of Schooner Avenue in Barnegat, NJ, on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued by the Barnegat Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Daniel Woods, Jr. was transported to police headquarters and processed. Barnegat Township Municipal Court released him ROR pending a new court date.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 12:33 a.m., during a DUI Checkpoint located on Old Shore Road and Route 9 South in Forked River, Officer Jason Lee arrested 27-year-old Oral Youmans of Ridge Avenue in Asbury Park, NJ, on two outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Wall Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,414 and warrant number (2) was issued by the Neptune Township Municipal Court in the amount of $315. Oral Youmans was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was later transferred to the custody of the Wall Township Police Department.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 12:21 a.m., during a DUI Checkpoint located on Old Shore Road and Route 9 South in Forked River, Officer Charles May arrested 49-year-old Mark Sosis of Pensacola Road in Forked River for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Mark Sosis was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition, he received a traffic summons for CDS in a Motor Vehicle.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 12:17 a.m., during a DUI Checkpoint located on Old Shore Road and Route 9 South in Forked River, Officer Julie Barcalow arrested 34-year-old Jesse D. Wirtz of Schooner Avenue in Barnegat, NJ, for Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Jesse D. Wirtz was charged with Possession of Marijuana. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Driving without a License as well as CDS in a Motor Vehicle.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 12:08 a.m., during a DUI Checkpoint located on Old Shore Road and Route 9 South in Forked River, Officer Adam Ewart arrested 31-year-old Dorian Knorr of Seabright Road in Forked River on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued from the Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Dorian Knorr was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail. In addition Dorian Knorr received a traffic summons for Driving with a Suspended License.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 10:45 p.m., during a DUI Checkpoint, located on Old Shore Road and Route 9 South in Forked River, Officer Brian Holt arrested 20-year-old Zachary Vincent of Lacey Road in Forked River. Zachery Vincent was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to police headquarters. He was processed and charged with Possession of Marijuana. In addition, Zachary Vincent received a traffic summons for CDS in a Motor Vehicle.

  • Suspicious Incident (Possible Attempted Burglary) – On Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 2:22 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the 700 block of Drew Avenue in Lanoka Harbor for an attempted burglary. The complainant reported that earlier on July 18, 2015, at 7:11 a.m., he was home when a male subject rang his doorbell. After a short period of not answering the door, the male subject attempted to open the front door by turning the doorknob; however, the door was locked. The complainant opened the front door and observed the male suspect exiting from the area of his garage which had been closed. The male suspect then ran from the scene. It does not appear anything was stolen prior to the suspect being confronted. The suspect is described as a white male who was wearing a black t-shirt and camouflage pants. Detective Lieutenant Christopher Cornelius responded to the scene and is handling the investigation.

  • Criminal Mischief (Auto) – On Thursday, July 16, 2015, at 3:30 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the Main Street Laundromat located at 302 Route 9 South in Forked River for criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015, an unknown person or persons smashed the front passenger side window of his vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot. The damage is estimated at $150.

  • Drug Possession (Arrests) – On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 5:32 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the Beach Boulevard bridge, located on Beach Boulevard just East of Pasadena Drive in Forked River, for a report from a resident of subjects underneath the  bridge smoking Marijuana. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old Timothy Matthews of Nantucket Road in Forked River, along with two juvenile males from Forked River for Possession of Marijuana. All three were transported to police headquarters and processed. Timothy Matthews was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both juveniles were released to a parent after being charged on a juvenile complaint with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
