Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – January 6 through January 13, 2022

 

Arrest- On Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 2:34 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to Home Depot in reference to a shoplifter who fled in a vehicle.  The vehicle was later located on Harzold Street and the driver was placed under arrest.  Erin Royer, 38, was charged with Shoplifting and found to have two outstanding warrants issued by the Toms River and Seaside Heights Municipal Courts.  She was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in accordance with bail reform.

DWI- On Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 6:36 p.m., several officers were dispatched to the intersection of Route 9 and Taylor Lane for a hit and run accident.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle attempted to proceed south on Route 9 from Taylor Lane turning to wide and collided with a northbound vehicle.  The responsible vehicle fled turning onto Beach Boulevard where Officer Elton Copes was able to locate it.  The driver, Kelsey Fisher, was arrested after being deemed under the influence.  She was charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident.

DWI- On Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:29 p.m., Officers Brian Holt and Michael Hyle responded to Sunrise Boulevard for a one-car motor vehicle accident.  Officers discovered that a vehicle driven by Michael Castellano, 24, left the roadway and collided with a tree.  Castellano was arrested for being under the influence and later released pending a Court appearance.

Arrest- On Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 5:44 p.m., a Cedar Drive resident reported that an unknown female entered his home without knocking.  Officers located the suspect, Amy Haas, walking in the area.  Officers were advised by dispatch that Haas was wanted by the Ocean County Superior Court for Contempt.  She was charged with Trespassing prior to being lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility.

Arrest- On Monday, January 10, 2022, at 8:34 p.m., multiple officers were dispatched to Dollar General for a reported robbery.  Store employees reported that a male shopper was observed opening a knife set and removing a knife from within.  As he exited the store, the suspect became aggressive, pointing the knife at employees while making threatening gestures.  A K-9 unit from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched and tracked the subject for several blocks prior to losing scent.  The following day, Detective Jesse Dalziel observed the suspect in a vehicle parked at the Beach Plaza, leading to his arrest.  Dylan Meisner, 20, of Browns Mills, was charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.  Meisner was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 29, 2021 through January 6, 2022

 

Shoplifting- On Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 7:26 a.m., Officers Michael Baldasari and Michael Hein were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft.  Loss Prevention reported that they observed an adult female place items in her purse and attempted to exit the store while avoiding the registers.  Jennifer Ross, 39, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting.  She was released pending a Court appearance.

Arrest- On Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11:01 a.m., Officers Michael Hyle and Michael Hein responded to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Lacey Historical Society.  Officers discovered the driver, William Greene-Vonglahn, 26, unresponsive in the driver’s seat.  Once William was alert, officers deemed him under the influence placing him under arrest.  During a search incident to his arrest, Vonglahn was found in possession of heroin.  Vonglahn was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, DWI, Reckless Driving, and Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle.  He was released on his own recognizance in accordance with bail reform.

Arrest- On Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2:13 p.m., Officer Dan Ricciardella conducted a motor vehicle stop on Municipal Lane.  The driver could not produce identification and provided personal information that was later determined fictitious.  Officer identified the driver as Nima Yadegari, 21, of Ocean Township, who was a wanted person for violating a court order.  During Yadegari’s arrest, he was found in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically Xanax.  Yadegai was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Hindering Apprehension in addition to numerous motor vehicle summonses.  He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.

Shoplifting- On Friday, December 31, 2021, at 4:02 p.m., Officer Nyeem Calhoun met with Walmart Loss Prevention in reference to a female shoplifter.  Brenna Haase, 43, was charged with Shoplifting after attempting to exit the store with merchandise valued at $70.  She was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility without bail.

Property Damage- On Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 12:12 a.m., Officer Anthony Ravallo was dispatched to Whitcomb Road for fireworks.  The caller reported that his front bay window was struck with a bottle rocket causing the window to crack.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 23 through December 29, 2021

Fraud– On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 6:50 p.m., Wawa, 701 Route 9, Lanoka Harbor, reported that counterfeit cash was discovered in their deposits. Management conveyed that two $100 bills were deemed counterfeit as they attempted to deposit them into an electronic safe. Surveillance video captured two suspects using the bills for a transaction.

DUI– On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 7:34 p.m., numerous 911 callers reported an erratic driver traveling east on Lacey Road. Officers located the vehicle at a Hillwood Road residence in Forked River, and identified the driver as John Hofer, 55. After being determined under the influence, Hofer was arrested and charged with several motor vehicle offenses including DUI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, and Reckless Driving.

Criminal Mischief– On Friday, December 24, 2021, at 11:48 p.m., officers responded to the Lacey Inn, 229 Route 9 North, Forked River, in reference to criminal mischief. Officer Dylan Emmett issued a summons to Brian Kelly, 43, after it was determined that he harassed a tenant by writing on the hotel room’s entry door.

Burglary and Theft (auto) – On Monday, December 27, 2021, at 10:14 a.m., Officer Michael Hyle met with a resident reporting theft from her vehicle. The victim stated that while walking in Gille Park, an unknown person stole an Apple MacBook from her vehicle. The theft is valued at $1,200.

Fire- On Monday, December 27, 2021, at 3:14 p.m., Officer Michael Hyle was dispatched to Ramp A at the intersection of Lacey Road, in Forked River, for a vehicle fire. Investigation revealed that the fire originated in the engine compartment of a 2002 Ford F-250 while waiting in traffic. Forked River Fire Department extinguished the fire and the driver was unharmed.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 16, 2021 through December 23, 2021

 

 

 

 

Burglary- On Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10:31 a.m., Officer Matthew D’Antonio and Detective Jesse Dalziel responded to a commercial burglary at Family Dentistry on Route 9.  Officers discovered that an unknown actor(s) forcibly entered the business and stole minor items valued at $300.  Damage to the business was estimated at $1,500.

Gas Leak- On Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 3:34 p.m., Officer John Simonson was dispatched to the 100 block of Nautilus Boulevard for a reported smell of natural gas.  Officer Simonson located a relief valve at the edge of the road that was leaking a large volume of gas.  Several homes in the immediate area were evacuated while New Jersey Natural Gas contained the leak.  Nautilus Boulevard was closed for several hours during the repair.

DWI- On Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:08 p.m., officers were requested at Wawa, 701 Route 9, in reference to an intoxicated female.  Officer Scott Keefe located Susan Loudermilk in her vehicle that was parked in the lot.  Loudermilk was arrested and charged with DWI, Refusal to Provide Breath Samples, Reckless Driving, and Unregistered Vehicle.  She was released pending a Court date.

Arrest- On Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 5:17 p.m., Officer Dan Biel arrested an adult female in the parking lot of Home Depot.  Amber Hauser, 20, was taken into custody on the strength of a Brick Township Municipal Court warrant.  Hauser was later released after satisfying the $750 bail.

DWI- On Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:32 p.m., police dispatch received a call concerning a possible driver under the influence.  Officer Michael Hein located the vehicle on Hollywood Drive and arrested the driver.  Michelle Preswodic was charged with DWI and Reckless Driving prior to being released.

Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – December 2, 2021 through December 9, 2021

Warrant Arrest- On Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 8:06 p.m., Officer Martin Julian conducted a motor vehicle stop on the 700 block of Route 9 South in Forked River, after observing a violation. During the stop, it was discovered that the driver, Zalika Hamilton, 26, had an outstanding Ocean Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $450. Zalika was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. She was later released after satisfying the bail.

Warrant Arrest- On Friday, December 3, 2021, at 9:10 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a motor vehicle at the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Evans Road. The vehicle owner, Rashaun Small, 23, was arrested on an outstanding Barnegat Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $450. Rashaun Small was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was released from custody after satisfying the bail.

Criminal Mischief- On Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 4:01 p.m., Officer Michael Hyle responded to Lacey Liquors on Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, in reference to a complaint of damage. The owner reported sometime during the overnight hours of December 3rd, 2021, an unknown actor damaged the spotlight attached to the north side of the building. The damage is estimated at $275.

DUI- On Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:01 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 South in Forked River, after it failed to maintain its lane of travel. The stop revealed that the driver, Ryan Kuykendall, 50, was under the influence. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters. Ryan Kuykendall was issued traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane, He was released pending a Court appearance.

Warrant Arrest- On Monday, December 6, 2021, at 5:01 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari conducted a motor vehicle stop on Beach Boulevard in Forked River. During the stop, it was determined that the driver, Russell Graef, 40, had a suspended license, along with an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $600. Russell Graef was charged with Driving While Suspended and Maintenance of Lamps. He was issued a new Lacey Municipal Court date for the warrant and released on his own recognizance.
