- Drug Arrest – On Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 10:14 p.m., Officer Scott Keefe conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Laurel Plaza, located at 629 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 28-year-old Dakota Rowling of Lawrence Drive in Lanoka Harbor, for possession of CDS. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Dakota Rowling was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less. In addition, he received traffic summonses for Failure to Observe a Traffic Signal, Improper Left Turn, Failure to Exhibit a Driver’s License, Failure to Inspect, Tinted Windows, and CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
- Drug Arrest– On Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 12:05 a.m., Officer Michael Baldasari observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Forked River Fire Department parking lot, located at 121 Parker Avenue in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the vehicle’s driver, identified as 39-year-old Jason M. Denoia of Burrsville Road in Brick, NJ, for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Jason M. Denoia was charged on a criminal warrant with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. He was later lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
- Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 6:17 p.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a traffic stop on Manchester Avenue and Quail Hill Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 34-year-old Glenn Bevelheimer of Bay Way in Lanoka Harbor, on three outstanding arrest warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Long Beach Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $100, warrant number two (2) was issued by the Stafford Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $558, and warrant number three (3) was issued by the Long Beach Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $100. Glenn Bevelheimer was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. He was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.
- Drug Arrest – On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10:00 p.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to the Applebee’s, located at 404 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of suspicious persons outside the restaurant. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 19-year-old Sydney A. Littleford of Predmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, for Possession of CDS. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Sydney A. Littleford was released after receiving a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana 50 Grams or Less and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 2:18 a.m., Officer Scott Keefe was investigating a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Wawa, located at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River. During the investigation, 46-year-old William A. Hall, Jr., of Railroad Avenue in Waretown, NJ, was arrested on an outstanding New Gretna Municipal Court warrant in the bail amount of $256. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. William A. Hall, Jr., was released on his own recognizance by the New Gretna Municipal Court.
- DUI Arrest – On Monday, September 11, 2017, at 8:31 p.m., Officers Julie Barcalow and Scott Keefe were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Lacey Road in Forked River for a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 48-year-old Dawn M. Cornelius of Phillips Road in Forked River (Bamber), NJ, for DUI. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Dawn M. Cornelius was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Refusal to Submit Breath Samples, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Produce a Valid Registration Card and a Valid Insurance Card. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 3:03 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a dispute. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 21-year-old Donald Gray Gille III of Dorrance Avenue in Bayville, NJ, on two (2) outstanding arrest warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Berkeley Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $150, and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Beachwood Township Municipal Court in the bail amount of $596. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Donald Gray Gille III was released after posting bail on both warrants. In addition, he received a criminal summons for Hindering his Own Apprehension by originally providing a false name to the police officers.
- Theft (bicycle)– On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 2:05 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to Caffrey’s, located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River, for a report of a stolen bicycle. The owner reported leaving the bicycle behind the restaurant unlocked and unattended from 1:00 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Upon her return, the bicycle was missing. The bicycle is valued at $25.
- Shoplifting – On Sunday, September 10, 2017, at 1:12 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to The Beauty Shop, located at 344 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor (Lacey Mall), for a shoplifting. An unknown female fled the store after being confronted by an employee for putting items in her purse. The total theft is estimated at $15.
- Shoplifting – On Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 7:43 p.m., Officers Elton Copes and Andrew Slota responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 41-year-old Timothy J. Hoban of Windward Drive in Barnegat, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $671.28. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Timothy J. Hoban was released after receiving a criminal summons for Shoplifting.
- Fire – On Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 11:58 a.m., Officer Frederick Anderson responded to the 1500 block of Whitcomb Road in Forked River, for a report of a microwave oven on fire inside the residence. The juvenile caller was utilizing the microwave when the item inside ignited. The Forked River Fire Department responded, shut the circuit breaker to the microwave off, and determined the fire to be extinguished. Damage to the microwave is estimated at $150.
- Burglary and Criminal Mischief– On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 3:24 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the 800 block of Tampa Road in Forked River, for a report of a burglary. The complainant reported that between August 24, 2017, and September 7, 2017, an unknown person or persons forced entry into the residence by breaking a window. A rear door was also found to be unlocked. At the time of the report it did not appear anything was taken from the residence. The damage to the residence is estimated at $250.
- DUI Arrest– On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 8:15 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 near Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to arrest of the driver, identified as 67-year-old Clifford J. Adams from W 39th Street in Bayonne, NJ, for DUI. He was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. Clifford J. Adams was released after receiving traffic summons for DUI, Reckless Driving and Maintenance of Lamps. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
