- Alcohol Arrest– On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 10:57 p.m., Officers Michael Baldasari, Scott Keefe, and Anthony Sarno responded to Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor for a report of people consuming alcohol inside a vehicle parked in the Walmart parking lot. Investigation at the scene led to 22 year-old Chelsea Griffith was received a municipal ordinance for consuming alcohol in a parking lot.
- Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 12:06 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella was conducting a routine motor vehicle stop on Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene revealed that the driver, 29-year-old Andrew J. Crouch of Lighthouse Drive, Waretown, NJ, had active warrants. The first warrant is out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department with bail set at $2500. The second warrant is out of Barnegat Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Unable to post bail, Officer Ricciardella transported Andrew Crouch to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident.
- Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 11:18 a.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella arrested 25-year-old Shamel I. Hawkins of Creek Road, Brick, NJ. While Shamel Hawkins was being processed by the Lacey Township Municipal Court, it was discovered that he had an active warrant out of Bedminster Municipal Court with bail set at $750. Shamel Hawkins was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident.
- DUI Arrest – On Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 10:27 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Lacey Road and Railroad Avenue in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Rachel M. Bishop of George Road, Toms River, NJ, for DWI. Rachael Bishop was transported to police headquarters and processed. She received moto vehicle summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle she was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- Car Burglary – On Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 11:46 a.m., Officers Randolph Plis and Michael Verwey responded to Gille Park in Forked River to take a report of a motor vehicle burglary. An unknown person(s) broke the rear passenger side window of her 2018 Dodge Durango. The victim reported that her Coach purse, valued at approximately $600, was taken. Shortly thereafter, Detective Adam Ewart arrived on scene and will continue with the investigation.
- Residential Burglary – On Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 1:39 p.m., Officer Michael Hein responded to the 1700 block of Lakeside Drive South in Forked River for a report of a residential burglary. The homeowner reported that several items, including a Sentry fire safe and jewelry, were missing from his residence that is under construction. It appeared that no forcible entry was made. The homeowner was last at the residence sometime between April and May of 2018.
- Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 11:56 a.m., Officer Michael Moeller conducted a motor vehicle stop on Oak Street and Route 9 South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene revealed that 57-year-old Ronald P. Broschart of Chelsea Street in Forked River had an outstanding warrant out of Wall Township Municipal Court in the amount of $100. Ronald Broschart was transported to police headquarters where he was provided a new court date by Wall Township. Ronald Broschart was released on his own recognizance and given a courtesy ride to his vehicle.
- DUI Arrest – On Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 1:12 a.m., Officer Jason Lee responded to Pheasant Hollow Drive in Lanoka Harbor after receiving a call from Ocean Township Police Department. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 47-year-old Richard S. Fingerlin, Pheasant Hollow, Lanoka Harbor, for DWI. Richard Fingerlin was transported to police headquarters and processed. He received motor vehicle summonses for DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
- DUI Arrest – On Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 12:17 a.m., Officer Patrick Watkins conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank on Lacey Road in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 32-year-old Jodilynne Lamberti of Tampa Road, Forked River. Jodilynne Lamberti was transported to police headquarters and processed. She received motor vehicle summonses for DUI, Suspended Driver License, Obstructing Flow of Traffic, and Reckless Driving. Jodilynne Lamberti was released after receiving a criminal complaint summons for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams. The vehicle she was driving was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
