Theft- On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 7:50 a.m., Officer Jason Lee was dispatched to the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department for a theft. It was reported that an unknown suspect(s) cut the catalytic converter from the Lanoka Harbor Dive Team vehicle. The damage is estimated at $600.
Arrest- On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 5:17 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was dispatched to Route 9 and Parker’s Point Boulevard for a possible dispute. Upon arrival, Officer Sarno met with Matthew Madelino, 35. During the interaction, Madelino was placed under arrest after marijuana was discovered. Madelino was charged with Possession of Marijuana and released pending a Court date.
DWI- On Sunday, October 18, 2020, at 10:35 p.m., Officers Scott Keefe and Michael Hein were dispatched to Constitution Drive for a reported motor vehicle accident. A homeowner reported that a passing vehicle struck two mailboxes and continued on Constitution Drive to Halsey Drive. Officers located the vehicle and the driver, Karrisa May, 30. Further investigation revealed damage to the vehicle consistent with the accident. May was arrested and charged with numerous motor vehicle offenses including DWI and Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing. May was also charged criminally with Obstruction of Justice. She was released pending a Court appearance.
DWI- On Monday, October 19, 2020, at 10:50 a.m., Officers Scott Anderson and Jeffery Slota were dispatched to Oakwood Drive for a driver under the influence. Officers located the driver who was later identified as Walter Buccos, Jr., 54. During the investigation officers located drug paraphernalia and deemed Buccos under the influence. Buccos was arrested and charged with DWI, Reckless Driving, Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, and Uninsured. A criminal complaint was also signed for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Fraud- On Monday, October 19, 2020, at 5:48 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno met with a Forked River resident in reference to fraudulent credit card activity. The victim stated that her debit card was used at four different locations in New Jersey and Tennessee. The charges totaled $470.
DWI- On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 9:39 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to McDonalds after a caller reported a possible intoxicated driver. Officer Watkins discovered the suspected vehicle in the lot that was being operated by Dana Kutassy, 39. Kutassy was ultimately arrested and charged with DWI. He was released pending a Court date.
Burglary- On Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 10:52 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was dispatched to a Nautilus Boulevard home for a reported burglary. The homeowner reported that while at work for the day an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole numerous items. The value of the items was estimated at $1,500. No forced entry was observed.
